Edward M. Mirzoyan was born in May 1921 in Georgia. In 1936 he became a student of Yerevan State Conservatory, where he graduated in five years. In 1942, he served in the Soviet Army. During the Second World War, wrote many songs with a patriotic military sense. In 1946 he started working in the Russian capital in the music studio at the House of Culture.
