Chad Michael Murray has showcased his brooding good
looks and acting talent on television sets and silver screens for two decades. The 6-foot tall star, who resides in Wilmington, North Carolina, is known to audiences of One Tree Hill (2003), where he played the good son, Lucas Scott. The model-turned-actor has also serenaded Jamie Lee Curtis with Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time" in Freaky Friday (2003), became Hilary Duff's "Prince Charming" in A Cinderella Story (2004), and even watched Paris Hilton die a violent on-screen death in House of Wax (2005).
Chad Michael Murray was born in Buffalo, New York. Growing up, his mother left his family at a young age and he had to help take care of his younger siblings, together with his brother and his father, Rex Murray, an air traffic controller. While working his way through adolescence, he learned a lot about work ethics, which eventually helped built his character. Chad once said in an interview that he could call his father anytime of the day whenever he needs help as his father is "his rock".
The One Tree Hill (2003) star started his life as a paper boy, delivering newspapers around the neighborhood before working as a janitor at Donut World. Chad only worked there for a few days when he lost his job because he was shooting Skittles into the deep-fryer. Sure enough, one of the Skittles got caught in the machine and Chad got fired. Chad also worked as a receptionist at a limousine company. When he was 15, he had a resection of his small intestines. His intestines were so twisted they had to be cut out, but there were some complications causing him to not be able to eat for three months. Chad also broke his nose when he was jumped at a Burger King outlet which then required him to be admitted into the hospital. It was there where he met the person who inspired him, his nurse. His nurse was a model and she told Chad to start modeling, but Chad only wanted to act.
Chad then took a chance and went to a convention in Buffalo and they wanted him to go to another convention in Biloxi, Mississipi. There, he met a man named Eddie Winkler, who offered Chad a place to stay in Los Angeles to kick-start his career. Not long afterwards, Chad was hired for a Tommy Hilfiger campaign which helped paid his bills and that was when he thought he could really focus on acting. He started out on Dawson's Creek (1998) with his two One Tree Hill (2003) co-stars, Hilarie Burton and Lee Norris. Two years later, he scored the role of rich brat "Tristian DuGrey" on Gilmore Girls (2000) before playing "Lucas Scott", one half of the young Scott brothers in the popular teen drama One Tree Hill (2003), where he met best friends James Lafferty and Tyler Hilton. Chad also starred in the B-horror flick House of Wax (2005).
He starred in Lionsgate's
The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia (2013)
and the socially important Indie film,
To Write Love on Her Arms (2012)
(Kat Dennings,
Rupert Friend). Going round the festival circuit, Chad played "Thatcher", an HIV-positive character, in the short film
The Carrier (2012)
(Rita Wilson,
Anna Paquin). Murray also released "Everlast", his first graphic novel. "Everlast" is a passion
project of his that tells the story of the tragic hero, "Derek
Everlast", as he follows his journey to save the world before the "End
of Days".
Chad played football growing up and his love for the sport was projected in a charity game where he would help underprivileged kids with the money he gains from audiences. A fan of philosophy himself, Chad's favorite book is "Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger. He enjoys listening to music from Incubus, Frank Sinatra, James Brown and watching shows such as The Simpsons (1989) and Fear Factor (2001). As for movies, Chad has given credit to Gladiator (2000), Fight Club (1999), Varsity Blues (1999) & Any Given Sunday (1999) as his favorites.
Chad married his One Tree Hill (2003) co-star, Sophia Bush, when he was 23. He reportedly cried on his wedding day, the 16th of April, 2005. After less than a year of marriage, the couple signed for an annulment. Chad was also engaged to actress Kenzie Dalton for a few years.
In 2015, Chad married actress and model Sarah Roemer, and the two are expecting a child.- Actor

Marlee Beth Matlin was born on August 24, 1965 in Morton Grove, Illinois, to Libby (Hammer) and Donald Matlin, an automobile dealer. She has two older brothers. Her family is of Russian Jewish and Polish Jewish descent.
Marlee lost much of her hearing at the age of eighteen months. That did not stop her from acting in a children's theater company at age seven; she was Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz". Her deafness never held her back. As an adult, she said it so eloquently: "I have always resisted putting limitations on myself, both professionally and personally." Marlee studied criminal justice at Harper College in Palatine, Illinois, and maintained her passion for acting after graduating. While performing on stage through Chicago and the Midwest, Marlee attracted notice for her performance in a production of the Tony Award-winning play "Children of a Lesser God" and was cast in the movie version Children of a Lesser God (1986). Although this was her movie debut, she won the Academy Award for Best Actress. While shooting her next movie Walker (1987), in Nicaragua, large-hearted Marlee took time to visit both hearing and hearing-impaired children. She continued this tradition of visiting local children through her travels to Germany, England, Italy, Australia, Mexico, Canada, etc.
Her interest in the criminal justice field played a role in her on screen career; she portrayed an assistant D.A. on the television series Reasonable Doubts (1991), while off screen she married police officer Kevin Grandalski on August 29, 1993. The couple has four children: Sarah (born 1996), Brandon (born 2000), Tyler (born 2002), and Isabelle (born 2003). In 1994, Marlee was nominated for an Emmy Award for her performance as Laurie Bey on the television series Picket Fences (1992). Marlee is also a spokeswoman for the National Captioning Institute. In 1995, she testified at a congressional hearing and helped get a law passed that requires all television sets 13 inches or larger to be manufactured with built-in chips to provide closed captioning on their screens; this was a godsend for deaf viewers.
Marlee serves as the national spokeswoman for the largest provider of television closed captioning, and has spoken on behalf of CC in countries such as Australia, England, France and Italy. She also serves on the boards of a number of charitable organizations, including Very Special Arts, the Starlight Foundation, and other charities that primarily benefit children. As someone who loves children so much, it is only fitting that she has four of her own. Professionally, Marlee has even tried producing, being the executive producer for Where the Truth Lies (1999).- Actress

Higareda was born in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico, the daughter of actress Martha Cervantes and therapist and artist Jose Luis Higareda, and sister of actress Miriam Higareda. She began acting on stage at a very early age, along with dancing jazz, flamenco, tap and folklore. At 14, she moved to Mexico City from her native Tabasco to pursue an acting career. Her debut was in theater participating in various plays such as "Little Women" "Don Juan" among others.
Being an advanced student, she entered college several years early at the age of 15; studying Communications at El Tecnologico de Monterrey. She would attend college in the mornings while going to acting school in the evenings and performing in theater on the weekends. A year later, her mother and sister moved to Mexico City and attended acting school with her.
She had her first TV debut as an anchor hostess in The Disney Channel's ''Zapping Zone'' a 2 hour life show of fun sketches and adventurous exploring. Soon after, Martha had her own extreme sports segments in the show.
She was only 16 when filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron came to Mexico City auditioning for "Y tu Mama tambien", Martha got the part of Cecilia Huerta, Gael Garcia's girlfriend in the film, but being underage and due to the full on nudity in the movie she was not able to do the role. Cuaron encouraged her to keep pursuing her acting career and following his advice soon after she changed her major from Communications to the Performing Arts.
In 2002, Higareda had her first leading role in the movie ''Amar te duele" "Love hurts", directed by Fernando Sariñana, in which she shares credits with Luis Fernando Peña and Alfonso Herrera. The movie quickly became a box office hit. And launched Martha's career giving her the nickname "The Mexican Sweetheart". She received The Silver Goddess award for her performance as female lead and the MTV movies favorite actress award.
In 2003, she was offered the lead in a Mexican TV show "Enamorate" in TV Azteca. But Higareda's passion was in making movies. Higareda returned with the movie ''Siete Días'' next to Jaime Camil, which turned out to be another box office hit. She worked with Carlos Carrera (El crimen del Padre Amaro) in "Sex, love and other perversions" winning another Silver Goddess Award. And that same year she was nominated as best supporting actress for the Mexican Academy Awards for her role in ''Fuera del Cielo'', In 2007, she came with her latest production ''Niñas Mal'', directed by Fernando Sariñana where she shared credits with Camila Sodi and Ximena Sariñana The movie produced by Columbia Pictures was a huge success in which Higareda portrayed a stubborn yet sweet punk, Adela, and her unusual haircut and fashion statement quickly became a trend in Mexican teenagers.
She booked her first American movie in 2007 ''Borderland'' where she shared credits with Sean Austin and Beto Cuevas produced by Lionsgate. The movie was screening in the American Film Market when an agent approached her. He introduced Martha to Craig Shapiro, who to this day represents Higareda at ICM Partners. Shapiro convinced Martha to move to LA. So in 2008, she moved to Hollywood to audition and study script writing: "I'm not the type of actress who sits there to wait for the phone call, I love the creating process and I need to keep myself busy, so I studied script writing, first to know how to choose my projects but most importantly because writing had always been a big passion in my life. So when I'm not acting, for sure I'm writing a script". She booked her first TV show directed by Stephen Frears but the show was canceled due to the writers' strike.
In 2008, she worked in the film ''Street Kings'', as Keanu Reeves love interest, along with Hugh Laurie, Cris Evans and Forest Whitaker. The film was directed by David Ayer.
She went back to her native country with three finished scripts and at the age of 25 she wrote and produced her first independent film "Te presento a Laura" The movie was in the top ten films in box-office for 10 consecutive weeks. In 2010, she appeared in the prequel to the crime/action film ''Smokin' Aces'', as a deadly female assassin. In 2012, she shot ''Hello Herman'' with Norman Reedus as an American reporter. And in "Lies in Plain Sight" as the leading visually impaired woman trying to solve the murder of her sister, winning the Image foundation Award for her performance.
In 2014, she wrote, produced and starred in "Casese Quien Pueda" (Marry me if you can) directed by Marco Polo Constandse and produced by Martha and Miri Higareda and Alejandra Cardenas. The movie quickly became the second biggest box office record of its time. This caught the attention of the American Studios. "I wanted not only to be in movies, but to know the guts of the industry, so I went to find the investors, and was involved in every part of the creative process. Making movies it's all a team effort, so if you surround yourself with the best people you learn from them and if you can also give an opportunity to those whom you believe in their talent, magical things can happen, yes the seed of the idea it's the script but the trunk and the branches is combining everyone else's talents"
She played Amparo in the mini series "Carlos" directed by french awarded director Olivier Assayas with Edgar Ramirez playing Ilich the terrorist. She worked in the Disney movie McFarland USA with director Nikki Caro starring Kevin Costner, Maria Bello and Chris Pratts.
Martha has successfully combined her acting, writing and producing careers. In 2016, she starred and produced "No Manches Frida" with Edward Allen and Mauricio Arguelles. From Patnelion, Lionsgate, Videocine and Constantin Films, "No Manches Frida" was another box office hit, where Higareda plays shy yet passionate Miss Lucy who falls in love with a Criminal (Omar Chaparro). Due to their longstanding friendship, she and Chaparro had wonderful chemistry and it was Martha who went to the Studio pitching Chaparro for the role. The low budget film made 11.8 million dollars in Mexico and 11.5 million dollars in the US.
Higareda produced with Miguel Mier, Jimena Rodriguez, Bernardo Rugama the box office success and Mexican adaptation of "3 idiots" A story about following your true passion, this subject has always interested Higareda as she has toured around her country giving inspirational yet grounding talks to teenagers.
Higareda's newest project, "Altered Carbon," is a hard-boiled cyberpunk science fiction novel by Richard K. Morgan brought to the screen by Netflix and Skydance Studios. Opposite Joel Kinnaman who portrays Envoy Takeshi Kovacs, Higareda plays the female counterpart, detective Kristin Ortega. Miguel Sapochnik directs the first episode. "Altered Carbon" was met with mildly positive reviews from critics, receiving a 64% on Rotten Tomatoes. However, fan reception was extremely positive with a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8.1 on Metacritic, making Higareda's debut in American television a relative success.- Actor

finishing with a 2:1 in English in 1981/2. While at Cambridge, he was a
member of the Cherubs drinking club, and Footlights with Thompson,
Tony Slattery,
Martin Bergman, and
Hugh Laurie (to whom he was introduced by
E.T.). His prolific writing partnership with Laurie began in 1981 with
resulting Footlights revues for (among others) Mayweek, Edinburgh
Festival, and a three month tour of Australia. In 1984, Fry was engaged
to do the rewrite of the Noel Gay musical "Me
and My Girl," which made him a millionaire before the age of 30. It
also earned him a nomination for a Tony award in 1987. (Sidenote: It
was upon SF's suggestion that
Emma Thompson landed a leading
role in the London cast of this show.) Throughout the 1980s, Fry did a
huge amount of television and radio work, as well as writing for
newspapers (e.g. a weekly column in the "Daily Telegraph") and
magazines (e.g. articles for "Arena"). He is probably best known for
his television roles in
Blackadder II (1986) and
Jeeves and Wooster (1990).
His support of the Terence Higgins Trust through events such as the
first "Hysteria" benefit, as well as numerous other charity efforts,
are probably those works of which he is most proud. Fry's acting career
has not been limited to films and television. He had successful runs in
Alan Bennett's "Forty Years On,"
Simon Gray's "The Common Pursuit"
with John Sessions,
Rik Mayall,
John Gordon Sinclair, and others.
Michael Frayn's "Look Look" and Gray's
"Cell Mates" were less successful for both Fry and their playwrights,
the latter not helped by his walking out of the play after only a
couple of weeks. Fry has published four novels as well as a collection
of his radio and journalistic miscellanea. He has recorded audiotapes
of his novels (an unabridged version of "The Liar" was released in
1995), as well as many other works for both adults and children.- Actor

Takashi Miike was born in the small town of Yao on the outskirts of
Osaka, Japan. His main interest growing up was motorbikes, and for a
while he harbored ambitions to race professionally. At the age of 18 he
went to study at the film school in Yokohama founded by renowned
director Shôhei Imamura, primarily
because there were no entrance exams. By his own account Miike was an
undisciplined student and attended few classes, but when a local TV
company came scouting for unpaid production assistants, the school
nominated the one pupil who never showed up: Miike. He spent almost a
decade working in television, in many different roles, before becoming
an assistant director in film to, amongst others, his old mentor
Imamura. The "V-Cinema" (Direct to Video) boom of the early 1990s was
to be Miike's break into directing his own films, as newly formed
companies hired eager young filmmakers willing to work cheap and crank
out low-budget action movies. Miike's first theatrically distributed
film was
Shinjuku Triad Society (1995)
(Shinjuku Triad Society), and from then on he alternated V-Cinema films
with higher-budgeted pictures. His international breakthrough came with
Audition (1999) (Audition), and since then
he has an ever expanding cult following in the west. A prolific
director, Miike has directed (at the time of this writing) 60+ films in
his 13 years as director, his films being known for their explicit and
taboo representations of violence and sex, as seen in such works as

Hideo Kojima was born August 24th, 1963 in Setagaya, Tokyo, later
moving to Kobe and growing up there. His love of Americana gave him his
major two interests of writing and creating film, which are the causes
of why he is so well known today. During the mid 1980's, his interests
pushed him to pursue looking for a career in film making, but a chance
discovery of Nintendo's Entertainment System gave him an interest in
videogames. Searching for a job at one of the many games companies in
Japan, he ended up being hired by Konami Entertainment and shunted to
work on the MSX home computer department. While this may have been a
blow for the willing game planner, he took the opportunity to create a
handful of games for the MSX such as
Metal Gear (1987) and
Snatcher (1988). During the
early 1990's Kojima worked on various games which have become instant
classics such as various other versions of Snatcher, and Policenauts
for the PC, 3D0, Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation, along with some
various other work with two Tokimeki Memorial Drama Series games in
1997 and 1998. However he had some plans for another sequel to Metal
Gear which he had been quietly working away on with a few others since
working on Policenauts. First shown at the Electronic Entertainment
Expo (E3),
Metal Gear Solid (1998)
looked to being a major hit with many people. With each subsequent
showing of the game due for release on PlayStation during 1998 caused
more interest. To date Metal Gear Solid has sold over 5.5 Million
copies and Kojima is widely recognized as a videogaming god, more so
than the few who ever saw his previous work. Kojima himself is a very
humble man, never letting his work effect his public attitude. He works
long hours to strive for his goals, and always takes the time to talk
to the press, sign autographs, or stay for an entire gaming show. He is
always interested in the views his fans have of his work, and believes
in anyone being able to create their dreams. With
Zone of the Enders (2001)
and
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (2001),
one of the most anticipated games ever, the world looks set to see more
of Hideo's dreams come to life.- Actor
