- Pam, a new female plumber in town, stirs up trouble with Mt Thomas' resident plumber Charlie Clarke. Charlie mysteriously turns up at every job Pam is called to and tries to undercut her price.
- Tom assigns Roz to help out at the one-man Widgeree station where Senior Constable Alan McCubbin is running behind on his paperwork. Roz makes an excuse so as not to have to return after being subjected to Alan's inappropriate advances.
- A traveling fair comes to town and the boxing attraction winds up the police so much, they get Adam to agree to a fight with one of them. Things will not go as planned for all concerned.

- Ben's first wife turns up out of the blue just as he is being falsely accused of molesting a teenage girl, the star swimmer of a squad he's been coaching.
- A curious mother uncovers information from her daughter Kym's diary that suggests a drug dealer is operating near the school. Meanwhile, Wayne returns to work after the shooting but is very tense. Is he ready to be back at work?
- Tom is caught between a rock and a hard place when two old friends and colleagues are suspected of stealing a large marijuana crop. One is a rule breaker, the other has always played by the book.
- Tom discovers the Mt. Thomas High School principal has been viciously assaulted and when his stepson says he was offered a black market VCE exam paper, the Heelers suspect exam theft may have been a motive for the attack.
- Maggie's father, Sgt. Pat Doyle, arrives in town on long-service leave and surprises Maggie during a rare, intimate evening alone with PJ.

- Ben is already miserable with flu when he falls down a mantrap in the State Forest. PJ is disbelieving when Ben accuses a fairy of stealing vegetables from his garden.
- Country life has changed. Chris tells Tom the Vic Bank is closing for good. Unnerved by the bank's closure and noticing the Heelers under pressure, Chris spreads word around town that the station may also be in danger of shutting down.

- Tess and Ben encounter a family custody dispute with a difference when they meet a lesbian couple, Andrea and Natalie, their son Kai, and his father, Gethin, the sperm donor.

- A life class for Tom, has him remove a young girl from there. Though she proves to be old enough, just barely; things get worse when there's a pregnancy and all the suspects deny it and the girl refuses to say who is the father.
- As it seems Tom has lost it in his search to find the bomber, P.J. enlists Susan's help and there is more destructive acts of violence to come. A young girl goes into labour in the public restrooms, so Susie and Jonesy have to act fast.
- Jonesy is annoyed when he and Susie are beaten to an ecstasy overdose by none other than his cocky younger brother, Drug Squad detective Dylan Jones
- Jonesy's world is turned upside down when tests reveal that his brother Dylan's seizure is the result of ecstasy.

- When people become sick, a farmer turns on his English neighbours blaming them for bringing BSE (Mad Cow Disease) there, and making his wife ill. With Tom convalescing, its newly promoted Nick, who's in charge.

- Tom pulls troublemaker Tim from Rabbit Creek, but gives him last rites, the paramedic also pronounces him dead. When Tim comes back to life, everyone sees Tom as a miracle healer and Tim's life is also changed driving both up the wall.
- The serial killer is still at large in Mt Thomas but examination of the latest murder victim reveals enough dissimilarity to indicate it was not the same killer.
- The favourite in the Miss Mt Thomas contest tells the Heelers she is being stalked, then mysteriously disappears while under the protection of Dash and Nick.
- Bill Mason arrives in Mt Thomas hoping to follow up leads relating to the disappearance of his son, Paul, four years earlier.
- Maggie and PJ arrive at a solicitor's office to collect the papers they find the solicitor dead. He has a gunshot wound to the head, a gun in his hand, and a note on his computer which reads, "I'm sorry I failed you all".
- Amy decides to have her uncle charged for the sexual assault she suffered as a child, but her recollection is crumbling and doubts creeps in. When she finally confronts her Uncle, the truth comes out with a surprising twist.
- Tess is surprised to discover that her in-laws are the couple who stopped to help a hit-and-run victim; they are equally surprised to discover she is pregnant.
- When a bikie gang arrives in Mt Thomas, Holly McLeod, an ex-bikie, prefers the company of the gang to caring for her two children. Maggie becomes determined to remove the children from their mother.
- A new resident, Bob Barker, comes in to the station to report a burglary. This seems normal enough until Maggie and PJ realise that Bob has had, not his contents, but his whole house stolen.
- Ben has trouble sleeping after a particularly bad accident he had to attend, of a young man. Jack is pushed to do something by a friend over damage of a gravestone of a loved one.
- A man, Enzo, returns from prison who took a lot of locals money and lost it all and no one wants him there, including Tom and Enzo's family. But things are going to turn ugly and vicious with a lot of people wanting revenge.
- As Tom accepts the possibility that his daughter is gone for good, the team investigates a possible child abuse case and Dash is very taken with PJ's replacement.
- Tom and Chris' friendship is put in jeopardy when Chris finds a fifty-year-old journal. The journal appears to have been owned by a young woman and Chris discovers that it is the account of a romance gone wrong ending in murder.
