- In the pilot episode of this series, attorney Teresa Lagos fights for the inmates in Capadocia, a Mexico City women's prison. One of the inmates is a young housewife named Lorena whose life has taken a dark turn. Meanwhile, Regina--queen of the prison mafia--faces off with her former underling Bambi.
- A kidnapping leads lovers to the prison. The Colombian's disappearance leaves Isabel furious and Bambi insane. Teresa convinces the judge to re-open Lorena's case, which upsets Santiago.
- Antonia is a transsexual sentenced to prison in a male penitentiary. The Bambi goes to Capadocia and the Colombian can't avoid nervousness. Lorena is unjustly sentenced to 30 years in prison for aggravated homicide.
- After learning about the relationship between Teresa and Daniel, Andrea robs a jewelry store to be discovered. Teresa tries to free some inmates. Isabel finds drug in a lingerie.

- A powerful madam accused of white slavery arrives at the prison. Meanwhile, Bambi discovers Lorena's chemistry skills, which could help in a new drug operation. Teresa learns the identity of Santiago's past lover and tells Burian.
- Germán killed his wife and blamed it on the housekeeper, Guadalupe, an Indian who doesn't speak Spanish. Andrea visits Daniel, determined to finally give up her virginity.
- A series of murders of elderly women have the police confused. The culprit is Angela, who is finally caught. Meanwhile, Teresa decides then to put her time and effort into Lorena's legal defense.
- One inmate falls into the hands of a drug lord and becomes part of a dangerous game. The authorities want to catch the drug dealer and the inmate expects to receive something in return. In the end, only one side will get their reward.
- Lorena establishes closer ties with the Deputy Prosecutor Victor Hernández, who takes her to visit his son who is sick in the hospital. In Capadocia, Andrea and Monse receive a gift that will have unexpected consequences for both of them.
