The Sheriff's son Cliff then goes after his father's killer. He knows who the four men at the jail were and the unusual caliber bullet that was used. He runs them down one at a time until only Roberts is left.
- Brokaw, the Polka Dot Bandit, asks Farrell to help rob Wells Fargo. Farrell plans to capture Brokaw for the reward but is assumed to be one of the bandits and shot. Brent captures Brokaw, but Ann thinking her father is in on the robbery lets him go. Brent catches up with him only to be framed when the polka dot bandanna is found on his saddle.
- Dick Carlysle returns home to find that his mother has married Brute Kettle who is really out to get the Carlysle ranch. First Kettle gets Bennett to forge a letter saying Dick relinquishes his inheritance in the ranch and then he tries to get Dick's mother to relinquish hers.
- Confederate POWs escape a Union camp and make for the Mexico border chased by Union troops with both parties oblivious to the fact that peace was declared.
- Cheyenne rides into Durango and runs into his old enemy Kelton. Kelton's game is to bring his safe to a town without a bank and let the townspeople put their valuables in it. Then he grabs the loot and flees. But Cheyenne is on to his scheme and finding the safe empty, gets the Sheriff to join in the chase.
- Two brothers separated when young meet as adults, one good and one bad.
- Bill saves his friend Larry from hanging and then tries to get him to join him in becoming a rancher. But Larry joins up with outlaw Carew and when Bill goes after him he accidentally shoots and kills Larry. Planning to marry Ann, Bill now hangs up his guns. But when Carew comes looking for him he straps on Larry's gun and heads out to meet him.

He needs rifles to give to the Indians but Monte Hale breaks up his attack on the supply train. But when they get them by robbing the warehouse, Monte suspects Thuston who had the other key. He follows Thurston only to be caught by him just as Thurston launches his final big attack.
- When Jeff, Smokey, and Whopper try to help their boss Pop Edwards, they find themselves in jail for robbery and Pop murdered. They know Doc Randall is the culprit and when Doc's men break one of his henchman out of jail the three go with him. They join Doc's gang across the border and their objective now is to get Doc to re-cross so he can be arrested.
- Both Lawrence and Salter are mine owners. Salter has planted men at Lawrence's mine and when Lawrence ships his high grade ore, they switch it with Salter's worthless ore. Obtaining ore samples from both mines, Marshal Lee Powell figures out the scheme and he and his deputies Art and Bill go after the bad guys.
- When Clay Morgan kills Joel Potter, Marshal Manning has to arrest the brother of the girl he plans to marry. When the Morgans effect Clay's escape, the Potters take Ann Morgan as a hostage. Manning is now caught in the middle and the two sides are about to fight it out.
- The Apache Chief is trying to keep the peace treaty but his nephew Black Wolf who aspires to become Chief is killing whites. Caught, he is to be turned over to the soldiers but two of his followers free him. The Colonel had given the Chief six days to turn over Black Wolf or the tribe would be disbanded. With Indians killing other Indians and the deadline approaching, the Chief's son attempts to bring in Black Wolf but is captured by him.
- Roy is an oil prospector. His efforts to get drilling rights on an old Spanish land grant are countered by gamblers from an off-shore gambling boat determined to control the land (and oil) themselves.

Crenshaw has Randolph killed and the banker, who is actually Crenshaw's boss, then refuses to lend the money for the deposit to the new owner, Randolph's daughter.
- To stop the rustling of Hicks, Martin turns to the Cattlemen's Assiciation. They send undercover agent Drexel who sets a trap for the gang. But Drexel's partner Van Wiley, posing as a dude, lets their identity become known putting them in jeopardy.
- Schmidt is the head of a group of spies building an arsenal along the border. Tim from the American side and Gringo from the Mexican side have been sent to investigate. But when they arrive they find the men they were to meet murdered and themselves arrested for the murders.
- When Colt kills the men that murdered his father, he escapes his pursuers and joins Wolf and his outlaw gang. After two years Wolf breaks up the gang, deeds his ranch to Colt, and turns himself in. Now an honest rancher, things are going fine for Colt until Wolf's old gang shows up under a new leader. Colt get the Governor to release Wolf claiming the two of them can bring in the gang.
- Madden has forged a phony Spanish land grant and gets crooked gambler Halliday to pose as the heir, Don Pedro. When it is declared legal, the Don's men start overtaxing the ranchers. Jim and sidekick Hardtack arrive and take up the fight by becoming the Ghost Riders that rob the Don's men to repay the ranchers. When Jim sees the Don he realizes he is a phony but must find proof to expose him.
- Young Henry Randolph has run up gambling debts to Slade and Slade has arrived to collect the money. When Slade tells Henry he will inform his father, Henry threatens him. When Slade is later found murdered, the posse heads out after Henry. Henry claims he is innocent but flees anyway when the posse approaches.
- Mortimer build a fence for the cattle brought by Ken Morley. To retaliate, Slater who wants access to the land, builds a dam cutting off Mortimer's water supply. When Ken confronts Slater, he is captured. Then lightning destroys the dam and Ken, imprisoned in a shack, is in the path of the oncoming surge of water.
- After Gene discovers copper on his ranch, Bennett tries to get control of the fortune by framing him in a jail-break.
- An outlaw, Bascomb, and his sidekick Yancey join a Mormon wagon train to hide out after a failed bank robbery. Bascomb undergoes a reformation as a result of his interactions with a young girl who becomes attached to him.

As Rocky is bringing him in, Archer is attacked again. Somebody wants Archer killed and Rocky, now suspecting Archer is innocent, decides to find out who and why.
- Outlaws along the Texas-Mexican border are mysteriously disappearing without a trace, so the Durango Kid adopts a second fake outlaw identity to expose the scheme.
- When Sunset's brother is murdered, he quits the Rangers and heads out to find the killer. Posing as a prison escapee gets him into the secret hideout of the gang he suspects. He shows the murder bullet to the gunsmith. But the gunsmith, to satisfy a personal grudge, identifies his enemy instead as the owner of the murder weapon.
- Stagecoach robbers take the money Hoppy was going to use to buy cattle so Hoppy, California and Lin go after them.
- Outlaw miners have been stealing ore from Ann Dennis' mine. Hoppy spends much of his time running around in the mine shafts tracking down the crooks.
- Cattle rustler Nevada dreams of living like an emperor in the West. Hoppy and the Bar 20 boys aim to put an end to his dream.
- Jim Waters arrives at Ed Parks' ranch to find Parks' cattle herd mysteriously increased. Hamp Harvey has been losing cattle and he suspects Parks. But the culprit is Harvey's foreman Brent who gets his orders from the town's leading citizen Sig Barstell. Barstell wants Harvey's ranch and after trying to frame Harvey by killing Parks, Waters takes over and goes after both the killer and the rustlers.
- When the Texas cattle trails to Kansas are blocked, cattle buyer Gene Autry (Gene Autry) goes to Texas to investigate. There, he finds his friend, land-agent "Buckeye" Buttram (Pat Buttram)and pretty Gay Kendall (Anne James, a newspaper reporter, siding with the homesteaders in a rancher-settlers dispute instigated by speculator Steve Ruttledge (Leonard Penn), in a land-grab scheme in which he will benefit when the railroad is built across the land he hopes to control.
- Bob Evans is the bashful foreman of the Denton ranch. He reads books and dreams of being a hero. He gets his chance when Gladys overhears Walling planning to smuggle stolen diamonds across the border. Finding Gladys' note, he sets out after Walling.
- When silver is found in Virginia City, Lawyer John Storm leads a group from Indiana west. He soon has to defend them all in court against a company that is after their claims. Fighting a crooked Judge, he gets a mis-trial by telling how much each of the jurors was bribed. Then he gets the Governor to appoint a new Judge. But just as the retrial opens, the Judge learns his daughter has been kidnaped.
- Sunset comes to the aid of a family in trouble. A vein of gold has been found on their land and the bad guys are out to take it over. This time they use a fake Doctor who claims there is an epidemic of smallpox and he tries to apply a poisonous injection. When Sunset breaks that up, the henchmen are brought in for the attack.
- When Bob tells Bull that his uncle is carrying a lot of money, Bull and his friends decide to rob the uncle. But Archie, sent to get Bob, overhears the plans. To save the money, Archie captures Bull, changes clothes with him, and joins in the robbery. He grabs the money from the others but is in trouble when the Sheriff finds him with it.
- Along the Mexican border, Roy joins Western novelist Dale in a search for smugglers. They discover a silver mine.
- Mendoza ruthlessly controls the valley of San Fernando and his men guard the only entrance. When Mendoza announces he will marry Michael's girl friend Maria, Michael plans an escape. He hopes to reach the Governor and bring back the troops.
- A gang of rustlers blackmails young Joe Collins into helping them, Sandy poses undercover as a janitor in the leader's saloon, and Buck impersonates a well-known crooked fence.
