The result is a film that is unexpectedly fresh and brimming with love.

Boris and Constance discover that the Brunets have been foster parents for 15 years and took Paloma in when she was born, because the biological parents, Jennifer Marland and Mickaël Rocca, were drug addicts and the baby was sent to foster care. Jennifer and Mickaël had recently met the Brunets and requested to recover the now 5-year-old girl.
- In the maternity emergency room of Hospital La Timone, a woman is taken to the delivery room, while nurses wonder where Professor Lalande is. He arrives at the hospital in his car to start his shift through the ER, but falls to the floor, dead of a subdural hematoma. Investigation shows that he received a blow to the temporal bone at least one to 36 hours before arriving at the hospital. Philippe Lalande, 58, married with a daughter, combined his work as Head of the hospital's gynecology service with medical care at a women's association. Jelena Markusic worked in his team as a midwife and tells the judges they had a difficult birth with a young woman, whom the teacher saved but is in a coma; her husband threatened Lalande.
