According to Mon Ciné of January 7, 1926, Mrs. Silvayre (possibly actress Renée Sylvaire or Nora Sylvère) was scheduled to play Madame Lepic but fell ill and had to leave the film after five days. Even though her husband Henry Krauss thought she was the wrong type, Charlotte Barbier-Krauss was chosen by Julien Duvivier to replace Mrs. Silvayre.
The film underwent a digital restoration in 2019 by Lobster Films with support from the CNC. The restoration was based on two nitrate prints of the original negative belonging to the Charente department and the Cinématheque of Toulouse, with missing or damaged shots replaced by the equivalents of a German export original negative stored by the Cinémathèque Française. Two damaged shots were absent from the German negative and were thus kept as is in the restoration.
