Two reels survive (including the finale), and the complete soundtrack survives on Vitaphone discs.
Four sound discs and one sound reel and trailer sound disc plus excerpts are held by the UCLA Film and Television Archives. The excerpts are also featured on The Dawn of Sound: How Movies Learned to Talk (2007), a copy of which is held in the Library of Congress.
This was Warner Bros.' second 'All Talking, All Singing, All Color' musical feature, the first being On with the Show! (1929).
Adapted from a Broadway play "The Gold Diggers". The original stage production opened on Sept. 30, 1919 at the Lyceum Theatre in New York and ran for 282 performances.
