Enjoyable but not all that funny.
In the early 1930s, Ray Cooke made about a dozen Torchy shorts. In these pictures, Torchy is an office assistant who often manages to come out on top.
In this installment, Torchy takes a friend's girlfriend out to dinner as a favor to them. But, as luck has it, a visiting Prince is nearby and Torchy sees a chance to sneak in to see him. Why? Because his company is trying to get the Prince to sign a contract for their steel. Can Torchy manage to sneak past the guards who are watching the Prince and save the day?
This is enjoyable but as I mentioned in the summary, it's not nearly as funny as the other Torchy films I've seen. But it is pleasant and entertaining.
