Bonnie Scotland has provided us with a stellar crop of talented actors over the years including Gerard Butler, Ewan McGregor, James McAvoy, Billy Connolly and the granddaddy of Scottish actors, Sir Sean Connery.
This week, a Scotsman comes to the aid of the U.S. President in Olympus Has Fallen. Gerard Butler stars as Mike Banning, a disgraced former presidential guard who was removed from his post after a quick-thinking decision costs the President (Aaron Eckhart) dearly. When the White House comes under terrorist attack and the President is kidnapped, Banning is the only one on the inside and National Security’s best hope for rescuing the Commander in Chief.
Unfortunately for us, Butler disguises his Scottish accent for the role, but that doesn’t stop him from making our list of Scottish actors. Cast your vote for your favourite Scottish actor while you practice your Sean Connery impression after the jump!
