Broad Farce
malcolmgsw21 August 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Nervo and Knox play 2 Covent Garden porters. Not being able to get work in the market they manage to get work as furniture removers.they are sent to remove furniture in lieu of payment of a bill. However they do not realise that they have gone to the wrong address and have located a gang of forgers. They are mistaken for gang members and are given a sack containing forged £5 and £10 notes.Unaware that they are forgeries they help out a café owner by paying off his debts.they then open up a nightclub with him and pay off the bills with the forgeries. The gang realise their mistake go to the club to get change for their remaining forgeries.however all they get are their own forgeries back in return. The police burst in and arrest the forgers.Jimmy and Teddy aren't charged and get the reward money for capturing the gang. This is a fairly broad farce.Nervo and Knox are at their best when they are displaying their physical humour.Given that they weren't a great patter double act one can see how well they complemented the other teams in the Crazy Gang
