- TriviaThis short was the final appearance of (imaginary rival) Tommy Bond, known as 'Butch'. Bond's acting career started shortly after George 'Spanky' McFarland in 1932. Spanky's debut was in Free Eats (1932), and Tommy Bond's debut was in the very next Our Gang short, Spanky (1932). He was in 14 episodes as 'Butch' and 13 episodes in the pre-MGM era as 'Tommy' from 1932-1934. After this point in his career, Bond went on to feature roles.

one end or the other
Alfalfa drinks a concoction of Butch to appeal to Darla but he doesn't mix it before drinking it. His stomach expands ridiculously. It's a later Our Gang short from MGM. It's solid fun although the ending could be funnier if the air comes out of the other end. It may be too crass for that era but it's kiddie humor.
