Joe Glow is the first 'one shot' character from WB
that appear only in one cartoon.
The opening credit mudic include part of A Midsummer Night's Dream by Felix Mendelssohn.
By the end of the year, the U. S. would be at war, and the phrase put out that light would become everyday usage. WB would incorporate this practice into many wartime cartoons, to bolster the home front support for the conflict.
The attention to the smallest background detail, common in shorts of this era, is made even more visible by the absence of color.
