"I'm getting sick and tired of you two fighting like cats and dogs . . . "

Warning: Spoilers
. . . the grumpy scold screams at her cat and dog to open HISS AND MAKE UP. Though her canine Roscoe has full command of the English language, her feline Reddington seems to be a mute. Worse yet, this lady--most likely an Alzheimer's victim--has forgotten to name her canary, referring to it as "you poor little defenseless Birdling" and "my naughty 'Ittle bird." Though Reddington may look at lot like "the cat who swallowed a canary" by the close of HISS AND MAKE UP, I think that it's his canine antagonist whose future shines brighter. All Roscoe needs to do is to use his command of English to take correspondence classes, adopt a boy, and build time machines. Reddington, on the other hand, seems fit only for further run-ins with mice and canaries. In a best case scenario, his mistress will compensate for Roscoe having found greener pastures by adopting a female cat. Then one thing will lead to another, and within five years she'll have 80 or 100 house cats underfoot. By this point THEY will be running her show, and when she croaks her "cannibal" comment here will be fulfilled (literally).
