  [the dog becomes tired and falls asleep in his dog house] 

• [the dog wakes up from the sound of munching] 

  Dog : Hark, methinks there's intruders in yon garden.

  [pulls out a flare cannon from dog house and fires a star shell, illuminating the night skies] 

• [Tosh checking out on a watermelon] 

  Dog : Delicious, isn't it?

  Tosh : But have you tried pumpkin today?

  Dog : Pumpkin? Why, no.

  Tosh : Well, here. Have some!

  [Tosh smashes pumpkin on Dog] 

  Tosh : You know, you don't look at all well. Have you had your iron today?

  Dog : Eye-ron? Why, no, I haven't.

  Tosh : Well, HERE!

  [Tosh slams Dog with a shovel] 

• Dog : [pulling on the gopher-grabbing celery stalk]  Ah, now I've got them exactly where...

  [Dog gets pulled into the ground by his own tail tied to a celery stalk] 

  Dog : ...they want me.

  Mac : Shall we?

  Tosh : Surely.

  [the gophers ran over the Dog through the tunneled ground with a land roller] 

  Mac , Tosh : Silly boy!

• Dog : [dressed as a scarecrow]  Ah, once again, me razor-keen mind comes to me rescue!

  [gopher pull Dog into the ground then kicks him out of the hole] 

  Mac , Tosh : [Telegram from Western Onion on a redressed scarecrow]  'We're vegetarians, you screwball!'

• [Last lines] 

  Tosh : We're rid of him, we're rid of him.

  [Mac and Tosh saw down the 'Beware of Dog' sign] 

  Mac : And now we'll have the garden...

  Tosh : ...and all those lovely carrots...

  Mac , Tosh : ...all to ourselves!

  [another character appears, munching on the carrots] 

  Bugs Bunny : Well, um, now I wouldn't say that. *chuckles*

• Mac : [to Tosh]  Hey, look! Who am I making like? Who am I making like?

  Mac : [imitating Bugs Bunny]  Eh, *munch*, what's up, Doc?

• [Gophers dressed in feminine vegetable hats] 

  Tosh : Well, toodle-loo, Darling.
