Begun in the early 1940's, the film was eventually pieced together, with musical footage shot and inserted later, and released in late 1946, receiving approval by the New York censorship board in December 1946. Attempting to take advantage of the current popularity of Cornel Wilde, it received few bookings and quickly disappeared.
