When Bugs is first seen, the door frame next to him has "Friz" (Friz Freleng), "Mike" (Michael Maltese), "Tedd" (Tedd Pierce), and P.J. (Paul Julian) carved into it.
In the dancing sequence, there is a building in the background that says "Ken Champin Veterinarian". Ken Champin was one of the Looney Tunes key animators.
The ending of Yosemite Sam's line "Yeah, Yosemite Sam, the roughest, toughest, he-man stuffest hombre has ever crossed the Rio Grande...and I don't mean Mahatma Gandhi!" was re-recorded as "...and I ain't no mamby-pamby!" in some prints due to Gandhi's assassination between the cartoon's production and its release.
The title is a spoof on JJack Benny's recurring radio sketch called "Buck Benny Rides Again". It was later expanded into a film, Buck Benny Rides Again (1940).
There is a sign reading "G. Chiniquy Blacksmith" in the dancing sequence. That is a reference to animator Gerry Chiniquy.
