The Army fires artillery shells at Bugs, which stick in the ground as they surround him in a hole. BUT the shells are still in their casings. When a shell is fired, it leaves its casing behind in the gun, which is then ejected by the gun crew, and a new round is put in the gun. The casing does NOT go with the shell when it is fired.
