When Stanley and Kay talk on the swing in the backyard, Stanley's hands change position between shots.
During the drive to the hospital, Stanley and Ellie cross a railroad track just before a train rolls through. Immediately afterward, traffic is visible behind the car and the cars stream across the track with no sign of the train.
When Stanley and Ellie are doing the dishes, Stanley is drying saucers and stacking them to the left of the rinsing pan. In the next shot when Kay comes in, the stack of saucers has disappeared.
The newborn baby in the hospital shows a fully healed navel.
The baby is christened "Stanley Banks." It may appear to be a goof that he is not christened "Stanley Dunstan" or "Stanley Banks Dunstan." However, in Roman Catholic and Anglican/Episcopalian baptisms, only the Christian names are used, not the surname.
The baby is not christened until he is about 6 months old, named after his maternal grandfather, to his surprise. There is no clue given as to what he would have been called in the first six months of life.
