The last film released by RKO starring Robert Mitchum, where he had been under contract for many years. Reportedly he disliked the script so much he went on suspension to try and avoid having to do this film.
Filmed in May and June of 1952 but not released until February 1954 - during RKO's tumultuous ownership by Howard Hughes.
In this 1953 movie, Dr. Sellers, a country doctor, delivers a baby in the patient's home, then sits at the woman's bedside, lights a cigarette, takes a drag and then hands the cigarette to the woman.
The doctor charges $10.00 for a house call in this 1953 movie. That is the same as $104.42 in 2022 dollars for that same house call.
