One Piece Episode 1100 not only brought the rematch between Monkey D. Luffy and Rob Lucci, but it also revealed Sun God Nika and his powers to the Straw Hat Pirates. As Luffy transformed into Gear 5, Vegapunk explained to the other members who Nika was and his importance to the history of the Ancient Kingdom.
Sun God Nika in One Piece
While the other Straw Hat Pirates were shocked to learn about Luffy’s role as Sun God Nika, the newest addition to the group, Jinbe, had a different reaction to the news. He was instantly able to connect the Gear 5 powers with the Sun God, even after seeing it for the first time.
This has led One Piece fans to believe that there is a chance that Jinbe might be connected to or knew about Sun God Nika’s existence from the very beginning.

There are thousands of characters in Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece, but Nami stands out as a fan favorite. As the navigator for Luffy’s crew, she even ranked top 3 among the most popular anime characters.
However, for years, fans have criticized Nami’s outfits as being too revealing, seeing them as nothing more than fanservice. Nami’s choice of clothing is actually a planned part of how she works.
Nami in One Piece
As the navigator, Nami uses her unique angle and position to her advantage. She doesn’t let it become an obstacle in dangerous situations.
Eiichiro Oda Responded to Fans’ Curiosity with Humor and Caution
Nami isn’t meant to be one of the Straw Hats’ main fighters like Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji. Her role as the navigator is quite different from theirs.

The anime genre is one of the biggest and most widely known sources of enjoyment, boasting countless shows. Despite the numerous anime available to the audience, the indisputable fact remains that One Piece is the greatest anime and manga series out there. Consequently, Oda sensei is often regarded as the greatest mangaka ever.
Franky in One Piece
The One Piece world is immense, with numerous characters introduced ever since its debut on July 22, 1997. The ability to draw so many characters who are different from each other highlights the exceptional drawing skills of Oda sensei. However, despite his remarkable talent, there is one character in One Piece that he finds challenging to draw. If your guesses are either Zoro or Luffy, you would be mistaken. The individual most difficult to draw is none other than Franky Shogun.

The One Piece anime recently featured the famous Rob Lucci vs Gear 5 Luffy fight in episode 1100. The battle was one of the best One Piece fights ever, and it impressed a lot of anime fans. However, the fight was not only liked by One Piece fans but one instance before the fight even impressed Attack on Titan fans.
Luffy and Lucci in One Piece
Luffy, before engaging in a fight with the CP0 agent, did something instinctively that reminded Attack on Titan fans of Eren Jaeger, the protagonist of Hajime Isayama’s series. Although the action was quite different, it had the same intensity as Eren and led fans to believe that the Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates was trying to imitate Eren Jaeger.

Zoro’s left eye, which has been closed for a while now, has had many theories developed around it. He first appeared with a missing left eye in One Piece after completing his training with Mihawk during the time skip. Some fans believe that he was injured during his training with Mihawk, while some believe he keeps it shut so that he can improve his precision.
Zoro’s Missing Eye
Knowing Eiichiro Oda’s habit of foreshadowing, One Piece fans think his left eye has some kind of significance that will be revealed later on to enhance his character in some way. Zoro perfected almost all of his abilities when he was training with Mihawk. He was not only able to polish his swordsman skills but also learn the Haki abilities.

Mangaka Eiichiro Oda sensei has a way of hiding easter eggs as minor trolls in One Piece, which later turns out to be of much greater significance than what the readers expect. And in this very manner, he just may have hidden signs here and there about who could succeed and carry on Bartholomew Kuma’s legacy in the saga.
Eiichiro Oda sensei’s One Piece Universe
While some might expect Monkey D. Luffy or Jewelry Bonney, the former Warlord of the Sea’s adoptive daughter, to be his perfect heirs, one recent fan theory implores otherwise. In fact, with an ocean of hints mentioned here and there in the previous chapters of the manga further backing up this theory, it just might be proven true over time.

The Egghead Island arc in One Piece is at its climax right now where Luffy is fighting Saturn and Kizaru together, Sanji is trying to save Vegapunk, Zoro is fighting Rob Lucci and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates are trying to escape the island. The first arc of the finale saga has truly lived up to its name.
One Piece – Egghead Arc
The recent chapters have shown major twists in the story with the appearance of the Blackbeard Pirates and Bonney being able to control the Pacifistas, and the story is only going to get better from here. While the story might get more thrilling, the spoilers of Chapter 1109 of One Piece have revealed that Luffy will face his biggest challenge yet.
If Luffy can surpass this feat, he might become bigger than Gol D. Roger and Whitebeard, and will finally earn the highest bounty the One Piece world has ever seen.

The story penned by Eiichiro Oda is one of the most incredible anime stories ever, and it won’t be overtaken anytime soon. In the journey of uncovering the One Piece, Oda sensei has introduced us to numerous characters, each of whom has managed to bond with the audience.
Roronoa Zoro’s Coldest Moment
One of the most beloved characters is Zoro, whom fans acknowledge for his loyalty to Luffy and his fighting style, which involves using three swords. However, despite Oda sensei being hailed as a mastermind, he sometimes does things on a whim. One example of this could be Zoro’s swords, as it has been revealed that Zoro only uses three swords because of Oda sensei’s urge to make him look greater than Miyamoto Musashi, the greatest swordsman in Japanese history.

The rivalry between Roronoa Zoro and Vinsmoke Sanji is considered one of the most amusing and biggest rivalries in One Piece. Although both characters are on the same crew, they despise each other and have a competition going on about who is stronger between the two. The film gods are a fickle bunch. If the flip of the coin had landed on a different outcome at various points in Hollywood history, the entire landscape of cinema as we know it could be completely changed. In fact, movie star Tom Cruise is something of a cottage industry to himself when it comes to major roles that he could've signed on for, but ended up little more than fascinating notes of trivia -- in our universe, at least. There's the infamous "Iron Man" scenario that could've seen him suit up as Tony Stark instead of Robert Downey, Jr., of course, along with the near-miss of starring in the classic "Shawshank Redemption." But there's one other little-known factoid that completes this little trilogy of alternate-history Cruise projects: one where he could've been cast as the lead of "The Mask of Zorro," incredibly enough.

His predictive sci-fi action film "Minority Report" was still several years away, but in 1997, Steven Spielberg could already see the future.
At that time, Spielberg was an executive producer of "The Mask of Zorro," and during production, he sensed something in the air. In an interview earlier this year, "Zorro" star Antonio Banderas recounted what the famed filmmaker told him:
"Steven Spielberg said to me once when we were shooting, 'This is probably going to be one of the last Westerns shot in the way the Westerns were shot in the old days, with real scenes and real horses, where everything is real, real sword fighting, no CGI.' Everything was practical. And he said, 'But things are going to change. They're going to change and they're gonna change fast. And so you should be proud of this movie.' Europe’s major players in TV and film attending Mipcom Cannes sensed a wave of opportunity coming at them from across the Atlantic, as Hollywood muddles through a period of strategic uncertainty and steep losses from the transition to streaming platforms.
The extended labor strife in the U.S. this year, with the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA waging historic and concurrent strikes, has Euro producers touting the appeal of lensing on the continent with a strong pool of skilled talent accustomed to working at much lower price points.
Also looming over Mipcom was the intense security protocol deployed around the Palais and headlines of bomb scares in France. The country has been on high alert in the wake of Hamas’ attack on Israel on Oct. 7 and the murder of a high school teacher a few days later. Despite the tense geo-political backdrop, the overall mood of marketgoers seemed livelier than last year,...

Deaths! Resurrections! Weddings! The dramatic reveal of a glamorous pig! If there’s even a single box that Disenchantment‘s series finale left unchecked, we’d be surprised to hear about it.
The last episode of Part 5, now streaming on Netflix, picks up in the heat of Bean’s final battle with her mother, the stripper-heeled Queen Dagmar. (“It almost makes me teary, this may be the last time I ever get to chase you down a cave below the castle!”) The battle takes a brief detour when Bean, Dagmar and Elfo accidentally trip on mushrooms, turning their fight-to-the-death into a “love pile.

There are few pulpy visualizations of revenge that play as satisfyingly as the climax of Martin Campbell’s The Mask of Zorro. Released 25 years ago, the still surprisingly lithe and surefooted swashbuckler culminates with a multigenerational crescendo of vengeance, which is served bloody and fierce. On one level of a crumbling Californian gold mine, the original Zorro is a now aged and dying Don Diego de la Vega (Anthony Hopkins), and he grapples in his last breath with the man who stole his life and imprisoned him in hell for 20 years. Yet a literal platform below this Count of Monte Cristo passion play is something even bleaker and more vicious: the storm of swords unleashed by a younger Zorro (Antonio Banderas) and his own object of disdain: Capt. Harrison Love (Matt Letscher).
When Zorro carves an “M” across Capt. Love’s face, there is no wink or playful banter one...

"The Mask of Zorro" is now 25 years old, though you might not know by watching it. Director Martin Campbell's 1998 film is a sexy, high-octane swashbuckler that, along with filmmaker Stephen Sommers' remake of "The Mummy," was likely responsible for the bisexual awakening of an entire generation in the late '90s. Leads Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones certainly light up the screen as newbie Zorro-in-training, Alejandro, and his predecessor's daughter, Elena, whether they're cutting a rug across the dance floor or mixing swordplay with flirtation. Then there's the breathtaking practical stunts and set pieces, which Campbell stages with the utmost elegance in collaboration with his cast and crew -- not least of all his longtime director of photography Phil Méheux, who imbues the film with a visual grandiosity befitting of a Western epic.
More than anything, it's the film's practical approach that keeps it feeling timeless. Campbell, who had...

Steven Spielberg saw the CGI writing on the wall back in 1998.
The Amblin Entertainment producer, who financed that year’s “The Mask of Zorro,” told lead star Antonio Banderas on set that the age of practical effects was dwindling.
“Steven Spielberg said to me once when we were shooting, ‘This is probably going to be one of the last Westerns shot in the way the Westerns were shot in the old days, with real scenes with real horses, where everything is real, [real] sword fighting, no CGI,'” Banderas told Yahoo! Entertainment during a 25th-anniversary appreciation of the film. “Everything was [practical].”
Banderas added, “And he said, ‘But things are going to change. They’re going to change and they’re going to change fast. And so you should be proud of this movie.’ And I am, probably even more now than at the time that I was doing it.”

Angelina Jolie has had love scenes with several co-stars over the years, including Antonio Banderas. But perhaps what made this particular love scene unique was that Banderas couldn’t touch his co-star during the intimate take.

Between the WGA writers’ strike and Warner Bros. Discovery selling the network to Nexstar Media Group, it’s beginning to look a lot like The CW’s long-mooted reboot of Babylon 5 is dead.
Speaking to TV Line, Brad Schwartz, The CW’s President of Entertainment, spoke about a number of titles previously in development, saying: “We’ve already given those back to the studios, so they’re free to develop those and sell them anywhere.”
He wasn’t talking about Babylon 5 specifically – the article only names the live-action Powerpuff Girls, Arrow spin-off Justice U, a female-led Zorro series, and Jake Chang, but adds “any other prospective series left over from former CW president Mark Pedowitz’s regime.”
The series’ creator J. Michael Straczynski previously paid tribute to Pedowitz on Twitter when his departure was announced at the end of October 2022, thanking him for his “dedication for and support of Babylon 5.

According to legend, the chupacabra is a fearsome, blood-sucking beast — a lean and intimidating animal you wouldn’t want to come across feasting on your livestock at night. Not so the cub three kids nickname “Chupa” in Mexican director Jonás Cuarón’s family-friendly Netflix movie. This one looks like a fuzzy-wuzzy baby lynx, with inquisitive amber eyes and a pair of awkward azure wings it still hasn’t learned how to use. A single glimpse of this oversized kitten and you’ll want one for your own, if not the plush version to snuggle up with at night.

Exclusive: Mediawan Rights Managing Director Valérie Vleeschhouwer says the French company’s €100M ($107M) co-development agreement with Entourage Ventures allows the Zorro seller to “seize opportunities” and significantly expand its slate.
In an interview with Deadline prior to Series Mania, Vleeschhouwer said the deal “is the way to give us the tools to serve our strategy and serve talent.”
“We can be reactive and responsive when we have a crush on a project and we believe in it,” she added.
Mediawan’s international arm struck the agreement six weeks ago and will see the pair co-develop, co-produce and co-distribute shows. It covers scripted, documentary and animation and already includes Mediawan shows Zorro and Civilizations.

There are a lot of famous villains in pop culture, but one stands head and shoulders above the rest. Ironically, it's your head and shoulders that this villain wants to submerge. I'm talking about quicksand.
If you take a poll, it is likely that no one you know has ever been trapped in quicksand. Yet, the danger of quicksand is one of the most over-exaggerated tropes in film and television. Pop culture has created a lot of silly fears over the years. Acid rain, World War III, and artificial intelligence taking over the world to name a few. But one thing kids fear over all others: quicksand. It almost claimed the life of Daisy Duke in "The Dukes of Hazzard." The Hulk was no match for its steely grip in "The Incredible Hulk." And poor Sarah from "One Life to Live" spent several episodes trapped in it!

“65,” in theaters now, stars Adam Driver as a spaceman who crash lands on a hostile alien world.
Except that, while Driver might be a futuristic traveler, he is actually living 65 million years in the past and winds up on an Earth that is crawling with dinosaurs And all of his technological know-how and high-tech gadgetry aren’t going to save him this time. In the first teaser trailer for Disney's new live-action "Haunted Mansion" movie, based on the classic theme park attraction, there are plenty of callbacks to famous ride moments. You don't have to be a Disney historian to recognize the "grinning ghosts come out to socialize," or the moment when a "motley crew of so-called supernatural experts" (per the official synopsis) stare up at a familiar wall of elongating portraits in an art gallery. However, there's at least one blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment in the trailer that's something of a Disney deep cut, homaging a forgotten part of the Haunted Mansion ride's history.
Around the 1:10 mark in the trailer, you can see a shot of someone getting knocked back onto a bed by a burst of water. Nothing like that happens in the current version of the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom, or any of the international Disney parks.
