At the beginning, when the doomed Professor Harrington is driving to Dr. Karswell's place, the steering wheel is on the left, and the POV is from the shotgun seat, looking at the right side of his face. On his way back to his home, it's a mirror image of the original (flipped shot).
Runic Parchment: When Holden first discovers the parchment which Karswell has passed to him, it has 2 rows of runic symbols. Moments later, when the parchment is trapped against the fire guard, it only has one row. Again, there is only one row on the parchment when Holden visits Stonehenge.
When Karswell is chasing after the parchment, passing through several train cars in the process, the sound suggests that the train is still moving and at high speed. In the next cut Karswell is jumping out of the train that has suddenly come to a full stop at the station. The transition between fast moving train and stopped train is too abrupt.
When Harrington sees the demon and begins to back out of his garage, a sign on the power-line pole clearly states, "Danger- Danger, live wires", yet when he backs into the pole a moment later the sign, which should be facing the camera, is now missing.
At Stonehenge, Holden pulls out his pocketbook, inside of which he has tucked the runic parchment. He unfolds the parchment and holds it up to compare the writing with that seen on the stone wall in front of him. The camera angle from behind shows him holding the edge of the parchment, as well as his pocketbook, in his left hand. Then the camera angle changes to a frontal view, but now his left hand is clutching only the edge of the runic parchment, with no pocketbook visible at all.
The stones at Stonehenge do not have any runes on them.
When Harrington hits and destroys the power-line pole, the charge meant to separate the upper and lower half actually explodes blowing out smoke and debris instead of simply cracking the pole.
As John begins to leave, Doctor Julian recommends to him that it's dark out and suggests he uses a driver. He doesn't take his advice and Doctor Julian says, "He's a very obstinate young man." In reality Nial MacGinnis, who play Doctor Julian, was born in 1913, while Dana Andrews, who plays John, was born in 1909, making him actually 4 years older than Nial.
When Holden encounters Joanna at the funeral parlour and they agree to meet and talk, he suggests she call him at his hotel. She agrees and leaves, without his ever having mentioned at what hotel he is staying.
However, Joanna lives with her uncle, and knows he has been corresponding with, and is going to meet, Dr Holden, so there is every likelihood that she would know where he was staying.

When Karswell throws the 'Karswell Devil Cult Expose' newspaper into the fire, the closeup reveals that the headline is the only coherent text on the page. Everything else is comprised of random, unrelated fragments of lines strung together.
One such example is the text of the 'FIRM DEFENSE' blurb, which reads as follows: "Angs put the ball between ie three wives, played by June But the referee said, "Play on." operation that evening. But owing Rees said he was a doctor at Guys but the most economical and con -ing, said that the defendant came has most things that Hollywood has support as possible. This has the four people then left."

When the windstorm begins, although it allegedly affects the entire area, only the trees in the immediate foreground are moving. Those in the distance are completely still.
When the demon makes its first appearance and starts chasing Harrington, it's obvious that it is being pushed on some sort of dolly.
The dates and time line in the story do not match. In the library, Holden is given a card indicating his time allowed is two weeks. Holden's appointment with death is the 28th. Joanna Harrington indicates later that her uncle died on the 22nd, and Holden arrived the following day the 23rd, so he would have been given the card on the 23rd or 24th.
At the end when Dr. John Holden passes the parchment to Dr. Julian Karswell and it flies away, a thin wire is visible that special effects used to guide the parchment along the tracks as Karswell chases it.
In a closeup scene of the airplane (plane model actually), the string that is used to guide it is visible.
Joanna refers to herself as a 'Kindergarten teacher', though she is British and that term is not used in Britain. She would have referred to herself as a 'nursery school teacher' or 'primary school teacher'.
Kumar tells Holden that Karswell is taking the 8:45 train to Southampton that night. However, as Holden runs to catch the same train, the camera focuses on the large station clock showing the time as 9:45 pm.
In the opening shot, when Professor Harrington asks to see Karswell, he demands "I must see Dr. Karswell at once." When Bates, the butler replies, he refers to Karswell as "Mister", and nowhere else in the movie is Karswell addressed as "Doctor". One would assume that Harrington of all people, having headed an investigation into Karswell and his cult, would know his title.
