nervous comedy

Croquemitoufle is a pleasant and nervous comedy about Gilbert Bécaud looking after his best friend's wife so she hasn't any love affair. But she's so pretty that he falls in love with her... Nervously directed by Claude Barma (whah the train scene), Gilbert Bécaud is quite good, some kind of Robert Lamoureux, and Mireille Granelli is absolutely delicious. And there are so many familiar french young actors : Michel Roux, Pierre Tornade, Jacques Marin, Roger Carel, ... Not a masterpiece, but a dynamic comedy.
