Some of the 16mm U.S. television syndication prints have Joseph E. Levine's opening credit, and the end title, replaced with a title card that reads "An Illusion Maker's Presentation."
There are at least three versions of the U.S. release: (1) The original dubbed theatrical release; (2) a television version that removes the introduction with Hugh Downs and (3) a version that removes the Joseph E. Levine credit and replaces it with the credit "An Illusion Maker's Presentation."
A 2020 release by Criterion features the U.S. English track synced to the restored Czech version. The introduction with Hugh Downs and the opening title are included as a separate bonus feature. The ending cast and credits of the U.S. version are not included.
The original U.S. theatrical release featured an introduction by Hugh Downs. This introduction had been removed from the television release.
