The main driver of the plot for the entire film is the $5000 reward offered for the return of Mrs. Lowe to her husband. Yet upon her return, Cody leaves immediately and none of the characters makes any mention of the reward whatsoever.
Mrs. Lowe, contemptuously refers to Cody as being a "Comanchero." The real "Comancheros" were native New Mexico traders who dealt with the Comanche tribes in the late 1700s and 1800s. Comancheros also ransomed captives and this was probably Mrs. Lowe's reference rather than Cody's ethnicity.
