Decent Spanish Noir was well directed by Julio Coll about a crime and subsequent investigation , being compellingly played by Carlos Estrada along with a great plethora of secondaries . Top-drawer acting all around , the ample plethora of actors give excellent interpretations . After standing at a theater , some friends get together talking about the perfect crime and how to commit it , they are the following ones : a wealthy playwright called Jean (Carlos Estrada) , Comisario Serge Dupont (Roberto Camardiel) , Dr. Víctor Lepetre (José Bódalo) and stage producer Henry (Ángel Picazo) . But a bit later on, Jean's wife (Susana Campos) is missing and allegedly murdered , as the premise is to guess who's the killer. There are various suspect people , the prime is her husband Jean , and the housemaid Franca (Irán Eory) who results to be Jean's lover (Carlos Estrada) , among others . The film follows the complex investigation at a night and day police service commanded by Inspector performed by Roberto Camardiel , and a subinspector acted by Carlos Ballesteros in a desolate Paris by interrogating suspicious people as well as witnesses here and there . While Jean , who at the same time is a prime suspect , attempts to go on his life along with his lover Franca.

As the main question is to discover the murderer , as this one results to be a whodunit with a lot of suspicious people , as the picture shows the hard mission carried out by two cops . Based on an intelligent and twisted screenplay and story by Pedro Maria Herrero ; being excessively illustrating and a lot of surprises , twists and turns . An acceptable picture about a crime and its subsequent investigation y analyzing the police procedure . This really staged film is well narrated , being entirely set at a house and a theater . Tension is slowly but surely built up , as the cops try to find out the destination of the missed wife and how the events happened until that day . Dealing with existence of a motley group of friends who while telling how to be a perfect murderer , a killing is happening , and giving a certain psychological detail studio of some peculiar characters . Magnificent acting all over the movie , the ample plethora of actors give excellent interpretations , such as : Roberto Camardiel , Ángel Picazo , José Bódalo , Carlos Ballesteros , Irán Eory , Carlos Ballesteros , and including brief appearances from María Luisa Ponte , José María Caffarel , Erasmo Pascual , María José Alfonso , Rufino Inglés ,Pepe Martín . In any case , it results to be one of the best Julio Coll films , and first he produces by his own company ; containing a peculiar dramatic structure , though extremely staged . Shot in a solitary Madrid , posing like Paris that only shows up Effiel Towe in background , and at a theatre where some players are performing a play . It packs an evocative and appropriate cinematography in black and white by José F. Aguayo. And atmospheric and intriguing musical score by José Solá.
