Not aged too well - like Toto himself

Warning: Spoilers
TOTO VS. THE BLACK PIRATE is yet another outing for irrepressible Italian comedian Toto, an old man who always has some pithy comment for whatever situation he finds himself in. This film's backdrop is a swashbuckling adventure; our hero tackles the titular character early on before getting involved in some murky political shenanigans. Truth be told, I don't think this film series has aged very well at all over the years, or perhaps it's because I'm not Italian. The humour is based around language play and exaggerated mannerisms with plenty of satire thrown in too. I was delighted to see the hulking Mario Petri playing in support but there my enjoyment ended.
