The main location is Schloss Deutschkreutz, which is an Austrian castle close to the border with Hungary (only about 1,5 km / 1 mile away). From 1945 to 1955 the castle was used by the Soviet army, but they abandoned it later. Since 1966 it belongs to the artist Anton Lehmden, who is restoring the castle. The beautiful Renaissance building is open to the public on weekends during the summer (May 15th - Sept. 15th) and there is no entrance fee.
