Anecdotes:

The final scene where Taylor hangs onto the detonator by his fingers is an elaborate reference to a scene from Fritz Lang's Metropolis (1927) where a worker collapses in the factory in a similar fashion.

Goofs:

Revealing mistakes: When Brent tries to get the reins from the runaway horses you can see an extra set of reins going into the paddy wagon through the holes in the wall. These are the reins that a hidden person is using to control the 'runaway' horses. After Brent stops the horses and gets off the wagon, the reins are no longer in the holes.

Guillemet:

Action-Packed Worthy Sequel

Very high quality sequel to the original. No, it was not quite as good as the original but the performances and the story were both strong. Just watched it on DVD and forgot about how creepy the underground mutant people were. Especially when they were chanting to their "god". James Franciscus gave a very good performance and Linda Harrison is simply HOT! The ending was a little too abrupt but the movie is well worth seeing and owning on DVD.
