The beginning of the film is completely free of dialogue. Nobody speaks a word until after the 16-minute mark.

Goofs:

Continuité: When Bishop pins up the papers that he gets in the special delivery, he puts the pin in the top middle of the paper. In the next shot, the papers are pinned in both the top left and right corners.

Well-Executed, Well-Acted, Well-Filmed, Well-Written

'The Mechanic' is easily Charles Bronson's best work, if not at least a tie with 'Mr. Majestyk' for said honor. Judging by most of his works, you'd think he was incapable of doing something that could be even remotely confused with acting. Not so! 'The Mechanic' is a well-written piece that never fails to entertain. A gripping plot, beautiful locations, a quick pace, and perfectly executed scenes of conflict make this movie the masterpiece that it is. Required viewing for fans of the genre! 9/10
