I saw this highly improvised TV-series when I was about 8 years old, and I just couldn't forget about it. It had an enormous impact on me at the time. Sure you can argue that the story is banal and that the acting is amateuristic, but then you're missing the point. Pure cult!

Liberating fun!
It was at the time considered either a scandal or loved by its viewers. History has proved us lovers right:-)
It's improvised and in many ways quite sloppy. But its done with lots of love and humour.
The affection these three sailors have for each other and others is absolutely charming. Their incompetence and vulnerability also helps to question the male role.
To some this was very provoking back in 1973, for others just liberating and very funny!
