Although Tina Ti starred in many movies in the 1960s, it was her role -- and onscreen nudity -- in this film that etched her sultry image indelibly into Hong Kong's collective memory. But she regretted that scene her entire life because she said director Li Han-hsiang tricked her into appearing nude. He told her the scene would be veiled by gauze and that the camera would be placed far away from her and would only reveal her waist. But it turned out another camera was placed in an unlighted position out of her view that got a panoramic view of the bedroom, filming her naked body as she stepped out of a bath. The director included footage from that camera in the film. When she saw it at the premiere, she was embarrassed and angry at being lied to, but there was nothing she could do about it.
