Despite ending with a "To Be Continued..." ("Continua" in Italian) title card, a direct sequel was never produced.

Shortly after the film's release, then-Minister for Parliamentary Relations Giovanni Gioia sued the production company for defamation, due to a scene in the film in which he is referred to as a mafioso. The film was pulled from release, and director Fernando Di Leo and the president of the distribution company were subpoenaed. Giola later withdrew the complaint.
