Annie, are you okay? You look like you might faint after producer Graham King turned up at CinemaCon to surprise the crowd with a first look at Antoine Fuqua’s Michael Jackson biopic, Michael. Said to be an emotionally intense depiction of the King of Pop, Michael is positioning itself as a Huge event film. JoBlo’s editor-in-chief, Chris Bumbray, is in the crowd and says Michael will surely be controversial.
During his presentation, Graham said he knows everyone has an opinion about Michael Jackson, for good or ill. However, he did change the world of pop music forever, and his controversy made him a fascinating subject for Fuqua’s film. Graham also said Jackson was an enigma, but behind everything was a man with a very complicated, difficult life.
Michael contains 30 songs from Jackson’s legendary catalog. Next, a trailer played for the crowd, showing Jaafar Jackson as the Gloved One.

This is only slightly awkward! In an exclusive sneak peek from this Friday's episode of "The Jacksons: Next Generation," we get a look at a very candid conversation between the legendary Tito Jackson and his grandson, Royal. In the clip, the two are seen talking about Royal's girlfriend, before Tito starts giving out relationship advice. "What’s so important about being a Jackson, that you pick a good girl, somebody’s that with you for the right reason," he warns. While Royal -- the son of Tj -- thinks he means to watch out for women after your money, that's not exactly what Tito's talking about. Then, things take a turn for the uncomfortable, as the 62-year-old Jackson brother starts talking about the birds and the bees. "When you go to war, make sure your soldier has a helmet," he tells the boy. "I’m not ready to be a great grandpa!

Since childhood the Jackson family has consistently been in the public’s watchful eye due to their extraordinary talent and scandals. However despite all of the hoopla, one family member has a few choice words aimed towards the media.
Yesterday during an appearance on HuffPost Live, Jermaine Jackson -- along with his brothers, Tito, Jackie, and Marlon -- talked about how frustrating journalists can be at times.
“There are times when we feel like we just want to kick somebody’s ass for the stuff that they say, because that’s the human side,” the 58-year-old admitted. “But we have to continue to smile and do what we do. But yes, we feel like that sometimes too.”
He continued, “These journalists who be saying the wrong things. And they know they be saying the wrong things, but I guess they have to promote negativity.”

La Toya Jackson, the tabloid-staple middle child of music's most famous family, says the decision to invite television cameras into her personal life was an easy one for a single, liberating reason: At long last, nothing and no one stand in her way.
"There is such a misconception about not just me, but my family, as well," Jackson tells Zap2it of her new Own series "Life With La Toya," premiering Saturday (April 13). "For the first time, this is something I want to do. The Jacksons have always been a mystery. That mystery has been unveiled."
Though the show addresses a stockpile of Jackson family dramas in the very first episode -- from the long-term abuse La Toya suffered at the hands of her manager/husband Jack Gordon to the blistering infighting that followed her superstar brother Michael's 2009 death -- there is a charming lightness to its star that manifests itself in her infectious "hee-hee-hee!

As the little sister of a pop icon, of course Janet Jackson had it in her genes to be a star. She began her career at the tender age of 10 appearing on her family’s variety show, The Jacksons. Then broke away from the Jackson clan when she appeared on the television series Good Times. But it soon became apparent that acting wasn’t the only talent Janet possessed, and she signed a record deal in 1982. Janet exploded as a true pop star when her third album Control reached the top of the charts with such hits as “What Have You Done For Me Lately” and “Nasty,” while her hot ensembles and killer body made her a sex symbol. Twenty-five years later, Janet still busts a move on her tours and is one of the leading black actresses in Hollywood in films like Why Did I Get Married Too? and For Colored Girls.

Certain TV events require more than slick analysis -- they require a friend. The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty, A&E's new reality show about Michael Jackson's famous brothers and their "comeback," is just the kind of staged, cold spectacle you expect, save a few surprises. For instance, what was up with Jermaine's impromptu trip to Vienna? Or that phone call to Janet, which sounded more impersonal than her last three albums? Someone hold us! After the break, TV Line's Julie "Just Look Over Your Shoulder!" Miller and Louis "Easier Than ABC" Virtel break down the premiere, with their emotions and emoticons intact.

After all, celebrity reality shows have a certain appeal, especially train wrecks like Being Bobby Brown or Hey, Paula. Not that the Jacksons were thinking that way. Will Michael's children be included in the show? Says the show's executive producer Jodi Gomes, "We have 23 cast members with the last name Jackson. They've done a great job opening up about losing a brother." But not everybody in the Jackson family is happy about the series. A source says that Michael's oldest sister, Rebi, "feels Michael would spin in...

Over the past few months, I have written many words about Michael Jackson -- and in that regard, I am not alone. Still, nothing I could ever write could possibly convey the transcendent and enduring beauty and power of the songs that this man sang in his lifetime. So here are the recordings by which I will remember Michael Jackson on this day of his funeral. "Never Can Say Goodbye" -- The Jackson 5 "Remember The Time" -- Michael Jackson "Gone Too Soon" -- Michael Jackson "You Are Not Alone" -- Michael Jackson "Leave Me Alone" -- Michael Jackson "One Day In Your Life" -- Michael Jackson "Bless His Soul" -- The Jacksons "I'll Be There" -- The Jackson 5 "Corner Of The Sky" -- The Jackson 5 "Can't Get Ready For Losing You" -- The Jackson 5 "Coming Home" -- The Jackson 5 "2300 Jackson Street" -- The Jacksons "I Want.

The Jackson family want to be buried together. Michael Jackson's relatives are set to buy a private garden at Los Angeles' Forest Lawn Memorial Park so they can all be laid to rest in the same place.
The new plot may also be Michael's final resting place, after his father Joe Jackson denied reports the late pop star has already been committed to the ground.
A source said: "They are waiting to work out the details on buying plots for the whole family before they lay Michael to rest."
Joe has stated the King of Pop is "not buried yet," despite speculation he was laid to rest at Forest Lawn last week.

A reality TV show featuring the Jackson brothers - minus Michael - might hit the small screen. A pilot was already filmed long before the King of Pop's untimely death.
A&E is in talks to air the legendary music family's everyday life on television. They have already filmed a one-hour special with Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon, which could serve as a pilot for the potential series. Randy and the girls, Janet, Rebbie or Latoya, were not involved in the footage shot.
According to MTV, the possible show, commissioned before Michael's death, would revolve around the brothers getting back together and doing a record.
The Jacksons came to the network with the concept of the show. A&E originally planned to air the footage as a one-off special, but there is a possibility that it could turn into a series.

La Toya Jackson has claimed that her brother Michael was murdered by plotters who were desperate for his fortune. The legendary singer's eldest sister vowed to uncover the truth about his shock death as she revealed her suspicions in an interview with the News Of The World. Speaking to the newspaper, La Toya promised: "I know who did it and I won't rest until I nail them." She added: "Michael was murdered. And we don't think just one person was involved. Rather, it was a conspiracy of people. I feel it was all about money. Michael was worth well over a billion in music publishing assets and somebody killed him for that. He was worth more dead than alive." The Jacksons have already ordered a second independent autopsy in an attempt to discover the reasons for his fatal heart attack. An official report is due to be released in two...

It's been more than two weeks after his sudden death, but Michael Jackson has not yet been laid to rest and a new report has just surfaced that his remains are stored in a crypt belonging to Motown founder Berry Gordy. The crypt is located at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, CA, reports the New York Post.
In the meantime, family of the late performer has not yet decided on when and where his body will be buried. The Jacksons reportedly are still fighting over the option of burying Michael at Neverland or other possible venues.
At the time of writing, toxicology tests are still undergoing to determine the cause of Michael's death. His brain is still temporarily kept by authorities for further investigation on the case. Father Joe Jackson has said during an interview on ABC's "Good Morning America" Friday, July 10 that he suspected foul play on his son's passing.

Fans of Michael Jackson are beginning to look towards Gary, Indiana for the location of the King of Pop's final resting place, following news the late star's hometown will honour him with a stadium memorial on Friday.
Gary Mayor Rudy Clay and city officials have announced plans to stage a special free tribute to their native son at the U.S. Steelyard Stadium.
And the lockdown on information about the event and city officials' refusal to return media requests for more details has led many to think Jackson's remains are going home.
The King of Pop's casket has been housed in a top secret location since his memorial in Los Angeles on Tuesday, when it was displayed for all to see at the Staples Center. Reports suggest his family is awaiting the return of Jackson's brain, which was removed for tests during his autopsy, before planning the singer's burial.
The Jacksons filed for a Los Angeles County burial permit on Wednesday - seemingly ruling out the possibility the pop superstar will be laid to rest at his former Santa Barbara County home, Neverland Ranch.
Gary Mayor Clay will join fans at the Indiana memorial on Friday. His representatives are refusing to confirm or deny Jackson's remains will be at the tribute.
Clay has publicly asked the Jackson family to consider burying or cremating the pop star in his birthplace.
In the days following Jackson's death on 25 June, Mayor Clay said he expected Jackson's body would be taken to Gary for a memorial service at Steelyard Stadium.
He said, "I believe that his body will lie in state in Gary, Indiana."
Clay's spokeswoman Lalola Burns, who has refused to return countless calls from WENN, has said, "The Mayor had spoken with a contact of the Jackson family and expressed our interest in having that to be a part of the history of this great family (sic)."
Jackson's father, Joe, returned to Gary in 2008 to discuss plans for a Jackson museum with the Mayor, and two of the late star's brothers visited Clay in May.

At the Michael Jackson memorial Tuesday, the world met - and was deeply moved by - the King of Pop's 11-year-old daughter, Paris, who gave an unplanned, emotional tribute to her father. For most of her life, Paris, and her brothers Prince Michael I, 12, and Prince Michael II (a.k.a. "Blanket"), 7, were carefully shrouded from the public eye, often emerging with their father wearing colorful masks. So, who are the Jackson children? According to family friend Gotham Chopra, the late star's eldest son Prince is a "fun kid" who "has a lot of energy." He describes Paris as "very thoughtful,...

Police escorted almost 20 black SUVs, Range Rovers and cars to the cemetery two hours before the start of the memorial.

A public memorial service for the late Michael Jackson has been set to be held at his Neverland Ranch estate in Santa Barbara, California this coming Friday, July 3. At that time, fans and friends are allowed to view the King of Pop's body and also pay their final respects to him.
The Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department has confirmed that plans are underway to hold a memorial service at the famous estate. "Our guys are meeting as we speak with the California Highway Patrol to discuss the security issues," says Lt. Butch Arnoldi, a department spokesman. "Our role will primarily be traffic, but also crowd control. We will also be making sure there is no trespassing on neighboring ranches and stuff like that. It's absolutely inevitable. Only hours after the King of Pop's unexpected demise, Hollywood's major television networks were scrambling to fill their airwaves with Michael Jackson related programming. Tonight for instance, TV Land is dragging out the old made for TV movie The Jacksons: The American Dream. It's only a matter of time before the movie industry gets in on the act. The Michael Jackson biopic is coming, it's not a question of when, it.s only a question of how badly they'll screw it up. Will they focus on his earlier life, his brilliance as a musician, his success in spite of an abusive father. while glossing over all the really weird stuff at the end? Whose version of the truth will Hollywood subscribe to? Michael's hazy fantasy of never-ending youth or the world we saw from the outside, of inappropriate behavior and spiraling excess? Or perhaps most importantly,...

You wouldn't think a fortysomething journalist would have much in common with the late King of Pop. But my life and Michael Jackson's have run along somewhat parallel lines for years, back to our earliest days growing up in the shadow of steel mills in Gary, Ind. (See photos of the two of us here) I still remember the day, more than 30 years ago, when my father pointed to a house a few streets over from my grandmother's home. The address: 2300 Jackson St. -- the legendary space, really just a modest house tucked into a row of millworkers' homes -- where the young Jacksons honed their performing skills and dreamed of something better. The Jacksons were already gone by then, but their legend in Gary was massive -- held aloft by a proud citizenry who were happy someone, starting from nothing,...
