Shotaro's farewell to Super Sentai.
emasterslake29 September 2010
A terrorist group called "Crime" led by Iron Claw have an evil scheme to turn Japan upside down by increasing the crime rate with cyborgs, mafias, and robots.

Commander Joker form a team of four young heroes, whom all agreed to receive cyborg enhancements to become team J.A.K.Q. All four represent four individual cards of a deck of playing cards.

While being the shortest Super Sentai series, it had some memorable characters that made Goranger well liked. The introduction of Big One was one of the best moments of the entire series. It was said to have lasted longer, but it cut short due to either low ratings or the sudden change in the plot.

Shotaro Isimori never became involved with another Super Sentai series ever again. The one that aired after this one was the first of it's kind to not have Shotaro Ishimori trademarks.

Compared to the other Super Sentai series, this one is fairly easy to watch in less than a week compared to the 50 some episode Sentai series.

Those who love Shotaro Ishimori's work will likely enjoy this show.

The Big One ruined it all
And with that I mean the fact that what was supposed to be a series about the titular team from the moment the guy in the white suit appeared it became the Big One feat. The JAKQ dengekitai as supporting characters in the background. Also, the writing which before that point was pretty good turned for the worst each passing episode, and it particular it gives the impression the writers started cannibalizing the original 70's Kamen Rider series (I know, the sentai started as a Kamen Rider Spinoff, but still this isn't that one) in the attempt to keep the children watching because hey, the 70's Kamen Rider was successful, why not writing the same stuff?! The attempt at a possible love story feels contrived too since there were no previous foreshadowing of such thing to begin with and the guy cooking the ramen was a completely unnecessary, unfunny addition no one asked for. I still give a 7 because the first 22 episodes are pretty good and entertaining stuff and the rest is watchable, but they should have stopped by that time the series IMHO.
