Brigitte La Brunette

Warning: Spoilers
It's a day in the life of a mousy secretary desperate for a shag. Or two. Or more. The film starts even before her day does, when she's still in the middle of a wet dream involving some of her co-workers (Alban Ceray and Barbara Moose). Being woken by the alarm clock only makes her more determined to finish her session of solo love. As she hops into the shower for some more self pleasing, we recognize this brunette as being a young Brigitte Lahaie. Although apparently the title "I am a beautiful bitch" refers to her, the only place this bitch can get any is in her mind. And a particularly dirty mind it is too, constantly imagining herself having sex with everyone that comes within the distance of a couple of feet from her. Yes, this is one of those sex films where every act of intercourse is imagined, and the dialog is kept to a bare minimum. The few lines that are spoken seem to be improvised, so don't bother looking up memorable quotes on this one.

It shames me to say it's always a bit of a disappointing to find BH in one of her earlier, dark haired features. Not that I have anything against brunettes, it's just not the way we know and love her. Or maybe it's just that old fashioned, roaring twenties haircut which puts me off? It may be her natural hair color, but the blond look somehow seems to suit the shape of her face better. Anyway, dirty minded mademoiselle Marianne (for that is her name) dreams up a subway orgy on the way to work (unfortunately for her, there are only two men and one woman aboard). She utters her first words sitting down at her desk 21 minutes into the film. Evelyne Manta enters for an appointment with Marianne's boss M. Le Rouge (Jean Louis Vattier). Naturally, Brigitte fancies the girl immediately, and having her boss join in is a no brainier. I found myself distracted by the fantastic plastic seventies deco that made up their office, however.

Never satisfied, La Salope sees herself being taken on a pinball machine during lunch in a stupid and unnecessary sequence, before getting a surprise phone call from her boyfriend (the surprise being, that she has one). After lunch more co-workers arrive (six in all), only to sit around while Marianne pours coffee, and since she was dreaming about two of them the night before, you can imagine their arrival is just asking for trouble. Strangely enough it takes a long time to get things going this time around as Brigitte's character seems to be miffed about having to wait tables. At night her boring boyfriend (Thierry de Brem), who never opens his mouth, takes her to the cinema, but apparently there was not enough sex in his choice of film to hold Marianne's attention, so she goes down on him (but not for real). Either this guy is too shy/old fashioned to try anything with her, or she just does not make his bells chime. I told you it was the hairdo. So, there's nothing left for her to do but review the fantasy filled day she's had while preparing for bed (alone). This takes up the final ten minute of the film. Ten minutes! I'm sure that if she had only dyed her hair, she wouldn't have had to imagine any of it.

One of the all time best adult classics
lfree28 August 2005
This is one of the best adult movies ever made. It may be the best of all time.

It is easily Brigitte Lahaie's best. Very erotic. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to find today.

The clown scene is unbelievable.

This is not a film for people who like porn without story or drama. This is a great follow up for people who enjoy movies like Girl Meets Girl starring Maria Forsa.

Well recommended. Better than Les Petite Escoles which is a movie made around the same theme.

If anyone knows where to get this movie, please let me know. Would love to see it again.
