- The telephone stalker uses a breathy, whispering voice to disguise himself and whilst on the phone describes past horrors he has committed and ones he intends to commit - some may find the concept of such phone calls unsettling.
- There is a scene early on where a man breaks into a woman's home whilst she is showering. After he is disturbed, a point of view shot is shown of him still watching the home after the police have left.
- The climax of the film is quite intense, with the main character receiving several threatening phone calls at work from the stalker and her not knowing which of the people in her vicinity it might be.

- When the killer reveals himself out of the shadows, it is a known character who has unexpectedly altered his appearance with an abstract disguise which may startle some who were expecting him to look the way he had done throughout the story.
