The killer moved in plain sight on the foggy morning of Sept. 6, 1982, in the tiny southeast Alaskan fishing village of Craig.
Hours after shooting his eight victims with what police believe was a .22-caliber pistol or rifle, he fired up the engines on the 58-foot fishing boat Investor, waving nonchalantly to a nearby skipper as he moved the vessel — with his victims’ bodies inside — to a secluded bay a mile outside of town.

It’s not a mystery how the Coulthurst family and a group of teenage deckhands were killed on their fishing boat, Investor, on Sept. 6, 1982, in the tiny southeast Alaskan fishing village of Craig.
What remains unknown, more than 35 years later, is who did it — and why.
“You never stop thinking about them,” says Dave Freeman, who grew up with Jerome Keown and Dave Moon, two of the massacre’s eight victims.
“The shock of losing everyone really tore up our town,” Freeman tells People. “They all had their whole lives in front of them, and they were just blown away.

Thirty-five years have passed since the massacre of eight people on the fishing boat Investor first shocked the nation. For those whose lives were upended by the killings, the case remains a painful cloud that refuses to lift.
For John Peel, the former deckhand who police and prosecutors suspected of committing the grisly slayings, the mystery is something else: a question mark that still hangs over his head.
Peel was charged with the killings in 1984, but after two expensive, headline-grabbing trials, he was found not guilty. Decades later, the case is Alaska’s worst unsolved mass homicide.

So how is Kelly Rutherford coping after a judge ruled that her European ex doesn't have to send their kids back to the U.S. to be with their American mom if he doesn't want to? A source close to the situation tells E! News that the Gossip Girl star has been "amazingly positive" lately—but that seems to be because Rutherford is now on a mission. "The federal judge will not compel the children back to the U.S. Period," the insider says. "Although the parents share joint custody, [dad Daniel Giercsh] has no visa, so she will have to go to them. The case is closed. This is now a political issue and it is entirely without precedent." Rutherford previously told ABC News that,...

On May 26, when the 66th Cannes film festival draws to an end, India will anxiously wait to see if either Monsoon Shootout or Dabba will bring home a Camera d’Or, the award given to the best debut film in the festival. Ritesh Batra’s Dabba which played in the International Critics’ Week won an audience award-the Grand Rail d’Or-following unanimous praise by the critics and the audiences.
While we wait, let’s go down in the annals of history to know about the Indian films that won awards at the premier film festival. Although they might seem like a rare and exquisite breed, there are actually quite a few of them starting from the very first edition of Cannes.
At the inaugural edition of the festival in 1946, Chetan Anand’s Neecha Nagar screened in competition and shared the Grand Prix with several other films. The top award-now Palme...

So... this week’s episode, while nowhere near as bad as last week’s *shudders*, was just another bit of filler. Except for that last part. The Last part *shudders (but of a different kind)*
Now, since we have established that.... We open with a driver drinking and driving on a dark road leading to Great Falls, Mt.
The driver runs into a poor schmuck walking along side of the road. He gets down to check, but the guy is pretty dead. Scared, the driver runs off, making it an open-and-shut hit and run.
Well... that’s it. Go home. The case is closed. Or is it?
By next morning, the dead guy is still D-e-a-d, and even has an eagle munching on his liver (important later), when a Montana State Trooper finds the half-frozen body. He checks for the vitals – nil – and goes back to call the dispatch to retrieve the body,...

The case is closed on "Common Law." USA has opted to cancel the detectives-in-therapy drama after a single low-rated season.
The future looked bleak for the series earlier this week when star Warren Kole nabbed a recurring role on Fox's upcoming serial killer thriller "The Following."
"Common Law," starring Kole and Michael Ealy, becomes one of the rare one-and-done original series on USA, which has lately been a reliable producer of cable TV hits. The last original series to only last a single season on the network was 2008's miniseries continuation "The Starter Wife" starring Debra Messing.
The "Common Law" cancellation was confirmed on Twitter by USA exec Ted Linhart, who tweeted: "I can confirm to those who have asked that we are not renewing Common Law. Thanks to all the fans who watched and expressed their support."
USA has yet to decide the fate of summer miniseries "Political Animals,...

Vikramaditya Motwane’s “Udaan”, the film that made it to Un Certain Regard at Cannes International Film festival after seven years has been the talk of the town lately. With Udaan, Indian cinema’s seven year long jinxed relationship with the premier film festival has come to an end. Murali Nair’s Arimpara was the last film to have made it to Un Certain Regard, the section that carries the second most prestigious award, in the year 2003. Prior to that, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas was presented as a special screening out of competition at the festival in 2002.
Come to think of it, India and Cannes have had a cordial relationship right from the start. 1946, the year one of the oldest film festivals began at Cannes, Chetan Anand’s Neecha Nagar was screened as a Feature film in competition.
