A pleasant experience

Warning: Spoilers
This animation film, very loosely based on Gulliver's travel to Brobdingnag (the land of giants), is of course mainly targeted at kids, but it isn't childish in the sense that adults would feel annoyed. No, I felt it has good production values that may appeal to mature generations as well - interesting music, ranging from classic to jazz to folk tunes, well-done background paintings with many inventive ideas, some very bizarre, and little nods at the cinema-experienced (from a Mickey Mouse chair to the reenactment of King Kong..)

This is my first Spanish animation film, but I must say it holds up well against, say, the works of Burbank Films Australia. Sometimes the tempo slows down, especially with song and dance numbers which almost turn this into a musical, but all in all I had a good feeling after watching it. Well worth the €1 I paid at the discount shop.
