A salute to some of the brilliant and hard-hitting episodes in Steven Moffat's first TV series, the evergreen Press Gang...
Before River Song, Trenzalore and his take on The Doctor, before Sherlock fell off a building and provided multiple explanations, before James Nesbitt flipped out in a zoo in Jekyll, before Coupling, Joking Apart and Chalk, maybe even before he was known as The Moff, before all that came the quite brilliant Press Gang. Steven Moffat's first TV series, which he wrote all 42 episodes of, was based on an idea by his father, Bill Moffat. At its centre it had a brilliant will they/won't they relationship, and the epitome of a strong female character in Lynda Day. After 5 series it ended, but left behind so many quality episodes, which in trying to choose the stand out mind-blowers has been nigh on impossible. But for jolting,...

Two's company and three's a crowd--but four can soar! At least that's what the good folks at haRFMFul Productions, Sick Puppy Pictures, MOnsterworks66 and Lion Arch Productions believe as they prep a three-feature slate to shoot in Louisiana later this year or early in 2016!
Rycke Foreman (haRMFul), Phil Condit (Sick Puppy), Maria Olsen (MO66) and Lionel Archuleta (Lion Arch) are developing a slate of three horror-comedies for production in Louisiana and are presently attaching cast and finalizing budgets before approaching La. investors. The three films, Happy Ending, Hacked Off and Grizzled! (#Hehog) are all zany romps through HorCom Land featuring lovely ladies, buckets of blood, hunky heroes and terrifyingly funny Big Bads.
The films may all live in the same genre, but they each have their own special stamp of entertaining insanity:

The jury’s out in this week’s Broadchurch, even if TV audiences delivered their verdict on the second series weeks ago…
This review contains spoilers.
As a pervasive film of the moment teaches, there can be pleasure in pain. When Di Hardy muttered that eureka-like “Of course!” at the end of series one’s penultimate episode, the agony was delicious. For one stupefied week, we stumbled around in a bubble of speculation, asking strangers in bus queues and Gp’s waiting rooms, “Are you watching it?”. It hurt to be made to wait, but the anticipation was glorious and the reward was worth it.
Playing the same trick this week, Broadchurch blew it. Teasing tipped over into frustration, suspense tipped over into annoyance, and the audience was left asking ‘how much longer?’ in miffed tedium and not delighted countdown. In the battle of the cliff-hangers, will-Joe-go-free versus who-killed-Danny is simply no contest.

On Monday’s installment of Under the Dome, the CBS drama revisited a question that’s not addressed nearly as often as it should be: When will Chester’s Mill run out of resources?
The town has suffered a water shortage and an energy crisis in the past two weeks — because, yes, the dome has only been down for two weeks — and this time around, the big worry was a shrinking food supply.
Cue the town’s butterfly population laying countless eggs, producing caterpillars that chow down on every crop they can find. And, of course, Angie’s murderer is still roaming Chester’s Mill,...

The events of last week’s season two premiere of “Under the Dome” continue to affect the town of Chester’s Mill. In tonight’s episode, titled “Infestation,” Julia (Rachel Lefevre) and Barbie’s (Mike Vogel) reunion is cut short by an ominous swarm of butterflies, reinforcing Julia’s status as the monarch. Meanwhile, Joe (Colin Ford) and Norrie (Mackenzie Lintz) get used to living at Big Jim’s (Dean Norris), and Rebecca (Karla Crome) discovers something in her garden. Junior (Alexander Koch) discovers Angie’s (Britt Robertson) dead body surrounded by yet another swarm of butterflies in the school and is convinced Big Jim is responsible. [...]

In 2013, you don't have to be the "Man of Steel." If you're even a moderately noteworthy superhero, you're probably going to get your own movie. If that movie does well — and it probably will, since it's a superhero movie and the world loves superheroes — you're going to get a sequel, maybe even two, and those will probably do well, too. In short, being a superhero is, generally, a good thing.
That's why it's so surprising that the following nine superheroes don't already have movie deals, just by virtue of dawning their respective costumes. I'm sorry, I thought this was 'Merica! Someone get these people to a movie studio, stat!
9. Banana Man
With the glasses, you know already that Banana Man has superhuman vision abilities, so that's an easy check mark. You better believe those are glasses for near-sighted people. But it doesn't stop there: Banana Man dishes out empty banana...

Season 2 MasterChef winner Jennifer Behm is a food lover, owner of Pink Martini Catering, a soon to be wife, an adventurer - and this summer a food blogger for People.com.With the summer now here, I am very excited at the possibilities for road trips - for a day, a weekend, a week. Growing up, we did not have a lot of money, so we often turned to the road for our escapes. Camping was No. 1 on our list, followed closely by travel to soccer tournaments. I loved it, but I'm sure my family was over it by the third weekend in a row.

Wayne Callard stood in line with 1500 other Bat Fans waiting for the Cinegrande Cineplex to open its doors. Wayne had been waiting in line for nineteen hours. He’d camped out on the sidewalk the previous night, swathing his bulk in two double-sized down-filled sleeping bags on a foam mattress. Wayne was five feet seven and weighed 350 lbs. He’d been born Cicero Wayne Callard.
“Man,” said Manny Ramirez standing next to Wayne and blowing on his hands, “I hope they open the doors soon! I could use a tube steak!” Manny wore Bat sneakers and a Batpack.

Do you remember a time when television stations would go off the air? The National Anthem would play and then white noise or test pattern bars would flash across the screen with your local station call sign. In a time before the 24 hour news cycle, television had its limitations, and those limitations were gradually broken by the ever increasing popularity of the Late Show and the Late Late Show and to a comedic extent, the Late Late Late Show. Well Troma has taken on cable television in all its syndicated, re-run driven, 24 hour feel by including a programming announcement and late night TV bumper on its release of Father’s Day. Get ready to feel as retro as a movie is supposed to make you feel.
The basic premise of Father’s Day follows a vengeful son, Ahab (Adam Brooks), who is determined to bring to Justice Chris Fuchman (Mackenzie...

Last weekend brought the release of Scream 4, and the return of one of horror’s most recognizable villains. Ghostface has been many different people, but the face always remains the same – that elongated, black-and-white mask, inspired by the figure in Edvard Munch’s painting “The Scream.” Wes Craven turned that boring Halloween store mask into something truly iconic. Of course, Ghostface was not the first or last horror baddie to don a scary mask. Here are some other villains whose fake faces have haunted our nightmares.
The Legends
The Shape/Michael Myers, Halloween (1978)
This infamous face is one of the plainest masks in horror history, and yet it remains the most terrifying. Perhaps William Shatner is to blame for that, as the mask was created in his likeness. Fashioned from a Captain Kirk Halloween mask, the pale, emotionless face perfectly matches the cold, soulless demeanor of “The Shape” (as...

Peter Andre has confirmed that he is taking legal advice over Katie Price's new boyfriend Alex Reid. Last month, it was reported that Andre had spoken to his lawyers about Reid after becoming upset over the cage fighter's growing friendship with his children Junior, 4, and Princess, 2. The move came shortly after a Sunday tabloid revealed that Reid had filmed a violent rape scene for his new gangster movie Killer Bitch. Writing in his New magazine column, Andre has now commented: "A (more)...

Apologies again for the lack of a sassy mashup pic, but the Hot Gay Nerds at the Genius Bar are still making sweet sweet love to my MacBook Pro, so I'm a bit low on resources.
Thankfully, Officer Riley "Bitchtits" Morgan has resources to spare. In today's episode a firearm surfaces when Noah goes through Captain Pervy's personal effects ... but what does our ample-chested new recruit have to do with this? I honestly don't care, as long as he brings the high-beams.
