The film in 1987 was nominated for 2 AFI (Australian Film Institute) Awards in the categories of Best Original Music Score and Best Achievement in Costume Design but the movie failed to take home a gong in either category.
Cast members, Graeme Blundell and Pamela Stephenson, had both previously appeared in 'Doctors and Nurses' (1981) and two episodes of the television series Ryan (1973). The pair now work as a film critic and doctor of psychology respectively. They both left comedy for other work after both citing not being taken seriously.
Debut produced screenplay for a theatrical feature film of actor and television writer Steve J. Spears.
