The Bubba Ho-Tep episode of Wtf Happened to This Adaptation? was Written and Narrated by Andrew Hatfield, Edited by Mike Conway, Produced by Lance Vlcek and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian. Here is the text of Hatfield’s script:

While everyone knows when they are getting a Stephen King adaptation, a lot of the time you won’t know that a movie is based on an existing story until you get hit with it in the credits. Bubba Ho-Tep (watch it Here) is one of those properties. All of the advertising and certainly the feeling of the movie is that it’s a Bruce Campbell and Don Coscarelli movie, but the short story was written by Joe R. Landsdale. The movie was the little indie that could that was destined for cult fame and make...

Greetings from the apocalypse! If you lost some fingers to frostbite while walking down the driveway to get your mail, don't panic, that's perfectly normal for this time of year … on the east coast, anyway. A few bits of drudgery opening at the multiplex will numb your brain even more than the cold, but lucky for you I've scouted out some alternative routes towards weekend moviegoing satisfaction.

There was a minute or two in the late '90s/early '00s when The Farrelly Brothers were the undisputed heavyweight champions of comedy, but after round-one knockouts like "The Heartbreak Kid" and "The Three Stooges" they're officially classified "punch-drunk." Now it seems Peter Farrelly has made a movie so bad even his brother Bobby's not involved, and it's called "Movie 43." Taking...

Are you ready to taste the new Soy Sauce? Last night at Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX, just before a showing of Penumbra, filmmaker Don Coscarelli (of Phantasm, The Beastmaster, Survival Quest, Bubba Ho-Tep) introduced an exclusive first look clip and early look at the teaser trailer for John Dies at the End, his crazy new horror film that he already shot late last year. He's still editing and finishing, but as a first look it was quite wild, and Soy Sauce is definitely a key component. Paul Giamatti, Clancy Brown and Doug Jones all co-star in the film, which I could describe as a drug-induced, throwback horror, mind-trip thriller. John Dies at the End is originally based on David Wong's novel and it's truly a bit of a challenge to describe, especially from the brief glimpse we saw. In addition to Giamatti, Brown and Jones, this also stars...
