There is no denying that Robin Williams was one of the greatest entertainers to have graced the industry. His on-screen presence, improvisation skills, and comedic timing, all contributed to making him one of the best comedians of all time. Therefore, it isn’t surprising that the financiers behind the 1992 biographical drama, Chaplin, wanted to cast him in the lead role. After all, he was taking the comedy genre by storm, wasn’t he?
Robin Williams in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009)
As fate would have it, though, the role ended up going to Robert Downey Jr. who did an incredible job and did justice to the life and personality of Charlie Chaplin. Appreciated by many for his performance, Robert Downey Jr. ended up receiving his first Oscar nomination, all thanks to this very role.

After 10 long years, fans got the updated version of 2012’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive called Counter-Strike 2. The game was better than its predecessor as major technical improvements were made and a new game engine was utilized. The game had everything but a very important feature was missing: left-hand ViewModel. Popular games like Valorant have had this feature since the very beginning and it was very unusual of Valve to not add this feature since it was available in Cs:go.
Counter-Strike 2
Finally, the wait is over as a new Counter-Strike 2 has added this feature. With constant updates, Valve has been working hard to create a better gaming experience for the players as the game had a rough start. Many adjustments have been made in this update, including the return of the Overwatch anti-cheat monitoring system.

Robin Williams will always be remembered as one of the most prolific actors that Hollywood has ever seen. He was a one-of-a-kind performer, who stood apart with his performances, establishing himself as a comedy legend. Throughout his career, the actor has done a plethora of iconic films such as Aladdin, Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets Society, and many more.
Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society
The world remembered Williams as an outstanding performer, doing stand-up comedy, films, and TV shows. However, the Popeye actor would consider himself a gamer at heart as he was addicted to gaming, and he was a huge Cod and Counter-Strike fan. The actor would spend hours in front of the screen, as he not only found gaming to be relaxing but also quite deflating as he got humbled by an 11-year-old.

Starforge Systems is teaming up with a prominent streamer to introduce a new product line. The systems integration company, which is associated with gaming collective Otk and several of its members, has revealed its Summit Line in partnership with variety streamer Jaryd ‘summit1g’ Lazar.
Like other Starforge Systems products, the Summit Line is a series of custom PC components that can be purchased a la carte or bundled together as a “full build.” The complete summit1g-approved set retails for $5,300, while individual items — such as cases and platelights — are available for a fraction of that price.
High-end PCs like the Summit Line full build are powerful machines for gamers who are seeking out high-level competition. The line’s namesake is one of those players. Lazar is a former Counter-Strike pro who has since spread his streams across an assortment of content categories.

Microtransactions and lootboxes in games have become a very common occurrence nowadays. What sprouted years ago through smartphone games has become part of some of the most played games on PCs and consoles. One such game is none other than Counter Strike 2. After such a long wait, fans finally got their hands on this sequel, and it does not disappoint in at least one way.
Today, Counter-Strike 2 is no stranger to insanely overpriced cosmetics. Players play the game, and then they find themselves unlocking those lootboxes and unlocking a bunch of in-game cosmetic items. But what if one does not care for these cosmetics? They can just sell them, as some of them are priced so high that it’s unbelievable.
Counter-Strike 2 is full to the brim with expensive skins, and now stickers are here

PvP shooters such as Counter Strike 2 have the chance to build a community, bringing like-minded people together on an even playing field. But, usually, it results in a lot of arguing as opinions clash and tempers flare, along with gun muzzles.
However, certain people within the community unite everyone against them. Such is the case with a player whose outlandish spending habits have drawn the criticism and ire of players and netizens. What did they spend it on, you wonder? Skins, of course.
Counter Strike 2 Player Pays Big Bucks for Digital Stickers for their Gun
The Counter Strike 2 skin market is blowing up.
The news comes to us from a Dexerto tweet, which claims a player has applied $200,00 worth of stickers to a gun. The weapon in question is the Eye of Horus version of the M4A4, an already expensive skin that shows the player has money to throw around.

The world of gaming comprising Helldivers 2, Valorant, Elden Ring, and many more titles constitutes a major chunk of the entertainment industry as a whole. However, none would have been possible without the pioneer games that were way ahead of their times. The first ever Doom, a game that came out back in 1993 would be a perfect example of the same, as it brought a revolution to the industry no other title was able to bring at the time.

Helldivers 2 has been making headlines for the right reasons, but that doesn’t stop Arrowhead Game Studios CEO, Johan Pilestedt, from engaging in banter with fans over their demands. One of the main differences with Arrowhead is that they actively engage with their fans and hear out their demands and requests.
But not all demands can be met. And Johan Pilestedt recently roasted fans for asking for a grenade indicator like a lot of other Fps shooters provide.
However, there is no chance of that happening, as Pilestedt shot down those demands with a humorous roast.
Johan Pilestedt’s Hilarious Response to Fan Demand Looks like a grenade indicator is off the table.
Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt has been regularly interacting with fans of Helldivers 2. However, he doesn’t cede fan requests at all times, as can be seen in a status that he posted on X on March 27, 2024.

Alongside the 25th Anniversary Update released last week for Half-Life, Valve also gave Counter-Strike a fresh coat of paint with its own update. However, in doing so, Valve also gave Left 4 Dead fans a bit of a present in the form of the first prototype of the co-op zombie shooter that originated as a Counter-Strike mod.

Valve doesn’t release new games very often. The company is busy serving as one of the largest digital PC gaming distribution platforms on the planet, but it still supports a decent library of fantastic titles. One of Valve’s most popular games was the competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. While the game is no stranger to controversy, its latest developments have turned the general gaming populace against the once-proud title. In fact, Counter-Strike 2 recently set a “record” for the most negative user reviews for a Valve game in Steam history, though it reached that milestone in a rather unusual way.
Recently, Counter-Strike 2 almost completely supplanted Cs:go. If you search for Counter-Strike on Steam, you get Counter-Strike 2, Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike: Source, and Counter-Strike Nexon: Studio. The free-to-play Cs:go is gone, Cs and Cs: Source cost $10, and, to add insult to injury, Valve didn’t even bother giving CS2 its own store page.

A change is coming to the Olympic Esports Series. The video game competition put on by the International Olympic Committee (Ioc) has added a sport shooting competition that will take place within the Epic Games title Fortnite.
The Olympic version of Fortnite won’t feature a Battle Bus or any building challenges. Instead, a field of 12 players from the Fortnite Championship Series will compete against one another to determine which of them is the sharpest shot. Their Olympic-level battle will take place on a custom island designed within Fortnite.
Fortnite is the tenth game added to the Olympic Esports Series, and it will immediately become the most popular title in the Ioc’s lineup. Other games that will host virtual versions of athletic events will include Gran Turismo (motorsports), Zwift (cycling), and Just Dance (which will help build hype for the upcoming Olympic debut of breakdancing).

Remember the user mod that cranked up the Xenomorph content for Alien: Isolation? The modder behind that one, Matt Filer, has been hard at work with OpenCAGE, a set of mod tools for Alien:Isolation, and has dropped us a line to let us know about its big update.
The update for OpenCAGE adds support for adding custom meshes, materials, and textures to the game. That’s on top of the already-existing support for custom scripting in the game’s proprietary scripting format, modifying the Xenomorph’s behaviour trees and more.
To further get people talking about the update (in addition to tweeting about it), Matt has put together a Counter-Strike map in Alien:Isolation. Seriously, you run around in what looks like Dust II shooting up Xenos and androids. Not quite as scary as roaming around the Sevastopol, but still pretty cool.
You can grab the updated version of OpenCAGE from its Github.

Valve confirmed a series of recent rumors by (somewhat quietly) revealing the long-awaited Counter-Strike 2. Though the full game won’t actually be released until “Summer 2023,” the Counter-Strike 2 team has announced that some players will be able to participate in a limited test of the sequel starting today. How do you join the limited test? That’s a great question.
First off, you cannot request to join Counter-Strike 2‘s limited test. Invites to the game’s limited test will be distributed by the developers to players that meet “a number of factors deemed important by the Counter-Strike 2 development team.” According to the development team, those factors include “recent playtime on Valve official servers, trust factor, and Steam account standing.” In other words, the more you’ve played Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and the better your reputation is in those games, the more likely it is that you’ll receive an invite.

Despite being released way back in 2012 (and still suffering from numerous bugs that have yet to be fixed), Counter-Strike: Global Offensive remains Steam’s most popular title. However, recent rumors suggest that Global Offensive could soon be usurped by the release of the long-awaited project simply known as Counter-Strike 2.
Rumors of a potential Counter-Strike sequel have been around for years, but those rumors heated up recently thanks to a series of discoveries by data miners and journalists. Actually, some of those investigations started back in September 2022 when the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Twitter account’s banner was changed to just “Counter-Strike.” Several days ago, the banner was changed yet again to make the text yellow. These alterations stirred loose rumors, but recent (and far more substantial) developments have convinced fans that a sequel is indeed almost here.

When people refer to “iGaming,” are they referring to video games like Counter-Strike or casino games such as online pokies and slots? The answer is, it could be both. iGaming is an umbrella term that encompasses both categories of games. Both iGaming and video games are played online, which can lead to confusion. However, video games often have a narrative, and objectives to be achieved and may require skill and strategy to play. On the other hand, casino games are typically based on chance and have specific rules to follow.

Christopher Plummer has never considered himself a “series guy” before, but things are changing.
The 90-year-old actor stars in Peacock’s new mystery-drama series “Departure,” which makes its U.S. premiere on Thursday after previously premiering in the U.K. earlier this year. The project is Plummer’s first series regular TV role in over 25 years.
Plummer plays Howard, a spirited mentor to a sharp investigator named Kendra, who is played by “I Know This Much Is True” star Archie Panjabi. Howard convinces her to return to the job in order to find out what happened to passenger plane Flight 716 after it vanishes somewhere over the Atlantic.
“He’s crazy about Kendra. The old guy might even be sort of in love with her,” Plummer said of his “Departure” character. “He’s brought her along and promoted her each time, and here’s a job that she doesn’t want...

There may be few directors with more one-for-them, one-for-me chips to cash in than Marvel’s in-house brothers, Joe and Anthony Russo. Which makes sense, of course. When your last two movies cleared nearly $5 billion at the global box office, you begin to develop a thing called clout.
Now with both “Avengers” films in the rearview mirror, they’re making good on some hard-won sway — in this case, producing screenwriter Matthew Michael Carnahan’s directorial debut, the ripped-from-the-headlines war drama “Mosul.”
On paper, “Mosul” does indeed sound like the kind of project that could use a few patrons willing to take risks. Adapted from a 2017 New Yorker article about an elite Iraqi Swat team taking the fight to Isis, this is an Arabic-language film without a single recognizable performer, set entirely in the concrete remnants of a bombed-out city. The major studios aren’t exactly rushing to make those.

Apex Legends landed with a bang last Wednesday and has already shaken up the battle royale genre in a big way. While it doesn’t quite have Pubg or Fortnite shaking in their boots, the 10 million (and growing) player count in less than a week will definitely have them nervously looking over their shoulders at this stylish young upstart. And perhaps they should be nervous.
After all, no game stays super-popular forever and while Fortnite at least is doing a great job in keeping players engaged with fresh events, Apex Legends is the new big deal in town. And as far as I’m concerned, it’s lived up to the hype.
I’m not exactly bored of Fortnite, but it’s extremely familiar now, whereas the dynamic movement of Apex Legends combined with the cool character skills, interesting world and excellent Smart Comms system makes me excited to make the drop every single round.

At the risk of losing some of my credibility as a nerd, I’ve never been to an McM convention. Truth be told, I don’t really go to conventions. Not because I don’t want to but because I’ve never found the time for it. However, if all McM conventions are like the one that happened this past weekend then I have been missing out for a very long time.
First of all, the Excel Centre is massive so when I got inside (after hilariously failing to find the right entrance for over 30 minutes) I was overwhelmed by the amount of stalls, guests and panels that was there to check out. As it is a convention, there are attendees going in cosplay and the most common ones that I saw over the weekend was Deadpool (I lost count of the amount of Deadpools), Harley Quinn (same applies), Thor...

Charismatic star of Polanski's Macbeth and Hitchcock's Frenzy
In the 1970s, it seemed a sure bet that the actor Jon Finch, who has died aged 71, would become a durable film star of some magnitude. He had the dark good looks, the voice, the charisma and the opportunities. At the beginning of his film career, he played the title role in Roman Polanski's The Tragedy of Macbeth (1971) and starred in Alfred Hitchcock's Frenzy (1972). Around the same time he was offered the chance to replace Sean Connery as James Bond in Live and Let Die (1973). The fact that Finch turned the part down stupefied many commentators.
That Finch never achieved the level of stardom that was anticipated may be attributed to his dislike of the kind of media publicity that goes with it and his self-proclaimed lack of ambition. "I never wanted to be a big star," Finch once said.
