Sex & Nudity

  • Occasional innuendos. Red often opts for wordplay as to not explicitly mention sexual things. The Possum Lodge word game often involves Red giving clues which are double-entendres, which are always misinterpreted. Harold acts giddy whenever sex is mentioned.

Violence & Gore

  • Adventures with Bill is a slapstick segment which involves Red and Bill injuring themselves and each other as Bill attempts to record a how-to video. Characters get cut on occasion, but no wounds are visible. Bill is occasionally set on fire. Fall scenes clearly use dolls. Severe injuries do not carry over from episode to episode. Characters often narrowly avoid fatal injuries, eg. Bill accidentally knocking Red's hat off with a machete. Bill yells and screams in pain, but it's in a comical way.
  • All violence played for laughs.
  • Comedically, some violence can catch you off guard (ex: an instance where someone gets a knife stuck in their forehead). All gruesome injuries, however, don't seem to phase the victims.

Profanity

  • Occasional use of mild profanities, such as "ass," "damn," and "crap," and rare use of stronger profanities such as "dickin' around."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Many of Red's stories involve he and his friends drinking excessively and putting themselves in dangerous situations.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Red's stories often involve peril or general stupidity which result in gruesome injuries, but none of it is ever taken seriously or is of consequence.
