Porn that's high on technical quality but low on content.

Jack Remy did a bang-up job photographing MIKKI FINN, but the script and his direction are merely so-so. Film ends arbitrarily without resolution and the usual "watch for Part II" admonition, but fortunately they didn't do a sequel.

K.C. Williams is fresh-faced and winning in the title role. (Three years later she sported very fake-looking inflated breasts in UNINHIBITED, but is blissfully natural here.) She's the usual starry-eyed gal arriving in the big city, in this case hitting L.A. with guitar case in hand, anxious to make it as a song composer. She camps out in the waiting room of record mogul Peter North, where she's entertained by caustic-mouthed Porsche Lynn, who oddly enough has no sex scenes (a waste of her talents).

North is having sex in his office with one of his hottest (pun intended) acts Ecstasy, played to the hilt by Ashlyn Gere. North's wife Britt Morgan (looking about as beautiful as I've ever seen her on screen) is very unhappy with his dalliances by the final reel, in what passes for plot or drama.

North predictably steals one of K.C.'s songs after he finally meets her and accepts a demo tape. Jon Dough is in the process of re-orchestrating the stolen tune when K.C. finds him in the recording studio, cueing a hot fantasy sex scene for the duo.

Joey Silvera is a photographer who shtups Gere at a photo shoot, and a key subplot involves missing Italian rock star named Rock (Rocco Siffredi), with the Euro superstar contributing his big cock to a fantasy sex scene with P.J. Sparxx.

That's about it -a pointless exercise, when a real storyline and characterizations could have put this one over the top. Instead, we have Remy shooting on film and lighting/styling each of the cast's femmes to near-perfection. I guess that's enough for undiscriminating XXX fans, but they deserve more.
