My brief review of the film
sol-14 June 2005
One of the weirdest films that I have ever seen, this is a bizarre tale mixing together elements of horror, mystery and thriller, creating a film for which, if nothing else, one never knows what to expect. It is an eternally confusing tale, and what story there is, it is too silly to be taken seriously, but the film is so atmospheric and intriguing all the time that it constantly is able to offer something. It is oddly comic here and there, set to a very fitting score, edited in an interesting fashion with placing slides right on top of each other, and there are some very well photographed bits. Great sets too… but only decent acting and the plot is awfully weird. Selected to play at the Cannes Film Festival, the film is certainly interesting material, and it is worth a look for something very different at the least.
