Pretty good Telemovie

Though this movie may seem to be just another courtroom drama (it is), the acting is pretty good. It finds a down-on-his-luck lawyer (Peter Strauss) defending two different people; one he knows is guilty, one he thinks is guilty. Beverly D'Angelo (who I remember from the 'Vacation' series) is great as the rich and very much guilty southerner who is accused of murdering her husband. The other person the lawyer is defending is innocent and eventually that is proven. Great movie, and it has much drama and a little action to keep you at least somewhat interested through the movie.

Peter Strauss is very good...

and sympathetic as a lawyer, who has problems with a discriminating judge(well portrayed by Jill Clayburgh) This is similar to Texas Justice in that Strauss is a much beleaguered man; his wife, Charm is annoyingly portrayed by Laila Robins.

Beverly DÁngelo is accused (wrongfully? or not?) of murdering her husband. She plays another bad Texas gal, (quite well, considering she's from Ohio!) Strauss is very good and if you like courtroom drama, you will enjoy this. The actress playing his wife, however is very annoying, as an aspiring TV reporter. Her portrayal seems reminiscent of shallow Kathie Lee Gifford. 8/10.

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed what I saw. Soon after a revealing plot point from Beverly De Angelo, the power went out in my house. I think the characters are interesting and the drama is compelling. All of the cast contributed. There must have been something special about this TV movie for me to be upset that I didn't get to see how it finished out. Great performances and writing. Above average television movie. I hope I can see how it ends some day. I enjoyed what I saw. Soon after a revealing plot point from Beverly De Angelo, the power went out in my house.

Again to meet silly length requirements... I think the characters are interesting and the drama is compelling. All of the cast contributed.
