FromSoftware recently dropped an exciting new trailer for Elden Ring’s extremely anticipated upcoming Dlc, Shadow of the Erdtree. The trailer gives a peek into the story, showing the characters and locations players will interact with. If the Dlc lives up to the hype, it could be a game-changer, rivaling the likes of The Witcher 3’s Blood and Wine in terms of sheer content.
According to the story trailer, the main focus is on a war in the Land of Shadow, led by Messmer, who unleashes his army on those living under the Erdtree. Miquella, a lesser-known character in the main game, takes center stage in this expansion.
How Big Is Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Expansion? The newest explorable area in Shadow of the Erdtree.

With Netflix’s The Witcher series set to potentially break viewership records when the show’s second season debuts later this year, it’s only natural to wonder what the state of The Witcher game series is and whether or not we’ll ever actually get to play The Witcher 4.
The answer to that question is…complicated. While it seems likely that developer CD Projekt Red is working on a new Witcher game (or hopes to at some point), it’s not exactly clear whether or not it’s realistic to expect to play The Witcher 4 anytime soon (or even at all). The studio has been very careful with the words they use when speak about even the possibility of such a project.
Having said that, here are a few things we do know (or can reasonably assume) about the game most commonly referred to as The Witcher 4:

Jack Nicholson has had a long career playing brooding rebels, crazed villains and sneering charmers on screen. Soon he’ll star opposite Kristen Wiig in a remake of “Toni Erdmann.” He’s a fixture of American cinema and the Lakers courtside seating. For his 80th birthday, we aimed to rank all of Jack’s major, already iconic roles, from worst to best.
“Man Trouble” (1992)
“Man Trouble” is a ridiculous screwball crime comedy in which Nicholson and Ellen Barkin get upstaged by horny dogs. It seems impossible the same guy who did “Five Easy Pieces” made this.
“A Safe Place” (1971)
This bizarre, formless ’70s relic based on a play stars Tuesday Weld and Orson Welles opposite Nicholson about a girl living a fantasy in which she never grows up.
“The Terror” (1963)
Nicholson gives a stiff performance in this Roger Corman picture opposite Boris Karloff, but he gets to kiss a woman who transforms into a corpse.

Despite being just shy of five years old, The Witcher 3 has continued to defy expectations of a single-player game’s usual lifespan.
The acclaimed RPG, released back in 2015, brought to an end Geralt of Rivia’s overarching story, giving players closure in regards to his complex relationships with Yennefer and Ciri. Developer CD Projekt Red ultimately went on to release two massive game-sized expansions for the title, with the second, Blood & Wine, garnering a similarly glowing reception to the base game. Half a decade later, however, the adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s books continues to attract new fans in their droves.
According to CD Projekt, in fact, The Witcher 3 recorded accumulated revenue of more than $50 million between October 1st, 2018 and February 20th of this year. Breaking the news over on Twitter, it said:

Dlc: An acronym that can boil the blood of some gamers at its mere mention, and understandably so. We’ve seen plenty of examples of downloadable content being utilised in exploitative and unfair ways over the years, leading to Dlc often being cited as one of the worst elements of modern gaming.
But when you strip away the money-grabbing and questionable business practices that have tainted the idea and consider the times that Dlc has been used as initially promised; to expand our favourite game worlds and give players more for their money – Minerva’s Den in Bioshock 2 (2010), The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s (2015) Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone expansions, the barrage of free and paid expansions added to Final Fantasy Xv (2016) over the years – it’s clear that, when used with good intentions at heart, Dlc can be one of the best elements in modern gaming.

Bringing the press conferences of E3 2019 to an end, Nintendo aired their 40-minute long Nintendo Direct and showed off lots of gameplay footage during their Treehouse Live streams. Announcing a Breath of the Wild sequel and confirming a rumour that seemed unlikely, Nintendo certainly did not disappoint.

The Witcher 3 is actually coming to the Nintendo Switch. Here's what you need to know:
We've heard the rumors for quite some time, but at E3 2019, Nintendo confirmed that The Witcher 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch.
In typical Nintendo E3 fashion, they didn't spend too much time on this particular game. However, this is one of those instances where we pretty much know what to expect as far as game details go. After all, this is The Witcher 3; one of the greatest RPGs in recent years and a game many refer to as one of the greatest RPGs ever made. You probably know what it's all about.
The trailer also indicated that this will be the complete edition of The Witcher 3. That means that it should include the game's brilliant (and substantial) Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions as well as all minor Dlc releases...

From the start, few mistook Michael Caine for typical movie-star material. “I had a thick Cockney accent and I was a tall, skinny guy,” Caine recalls.
The situation was compounded during the filming of one of his first hits, 1965’s spy thriller The Ipcress File: “I wore glasses, and during the movie I tried to seduce a woman by cooking a meal for her in my kitchen. We got a note back from Hollywood saying, ‘Leading man looks gay — wears glasses, cooks and shops in groceries.’”

Welcome to the closest thing on Earth to Westeros.
It’s no secret that HBO’s hit medieval fantasy based off the books of George R. R. Martin is a boozy, bloody fest.
In fact, there’s rarely an episode in the five seasons of the TV show that doesn’t feature a character—usually world-domination-wannabes Tyrion or Cersei Lannister—musing their fates and plotting their next moves over a glass of wine or hefty cup of ale.

There’s never been a better time to be a fan of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Held up as Geralt of Rivia’s grand finale before its initial release, developer CD Projekt Red is now set to bid adieu to its prized RPG series – for now, at least – with the release of The Witcher 3: Game Of The Year Edition.

Originally released in May 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the critically acclaimed conclusion to the story of Geralt of Rivia. A little over a year since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launched worldwide, CD Projekt Red have released the second and final expansion to conclude the adventures of Geralt of Rivia. But after a mammoth main game and a substantial first piece of Dlc in the form of Hearts of Stone, you’d be forgiven for pessimistically thinking that Blood and Wine may be nothing more than the offcuts of the early development and an attempt to squeeze a few more bucks out of the series’ adoring public. Such thoughts would be absolute folly, however, as CD Projekt Red have instead helped us return to Geralt’s world with an adventure worthy of a retail release in its own right.

The team at CD Projekt Red have released a new developer diary video as they introduce more about Geralt’s final mission in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Blood and Wine. The video also features plenty of new gameplay footage for the expansion, giving us the best look yet at new region Toussaint.

Toussaint is a land of picturesque beauty where the line between fairy tales and reality is blurred […] Everyone’s having a good time; it’s colourful, it’s beautiful, like something out of a fairy tale. So what problems could they have?
Well, as it turns out, there are more than enough problems to plague the inhabitants of this wonderful land. With warring vineyard owners sending bands of thugs after each other...

CD Projekt Red continued their build-up to Geralt’s latest adventure by asserting that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Blood and Wine would actually look better than the base game. In an interview with Eurogamer, the developers even added that the expansion would present a technical upgrade as well.
In response to criticism over an apparent “graphical downgrade” in The Witcher 3, it seems CD Projekt Red were intent upon proving the doubters wrong and providing the game’s critics with something gorgeous enough to shut them up. Senior environment artist, Len de Gracia told Eurogamer just how they went about this and made the graphical upgrade a reality:
80, 85, probably even 90 per cent of the assets – in terms of environment that you find in this game – are brand new. You can just look at the market stalls right now: you would never see the same market stalls in the base game.

Update: CD Projekt Red has officially slated The Witcher III: Blood and Wine for release on May 31. The expansion’s first teaser confirms the studio’s launch plans, with Game Director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz adding that “Blood and Wine makes The Witcher 3 complete – it’s Geralt’s final mission. Containing more than 90 new quests, and over thirty hours of brand new adventures, it’s something that I think gamers will remember for a long time.”
Original Story: Blood and Wine, the second and final story-related expansion for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, is seemingly on the verge of release, with a new report pegging the hotly-anticipated Dlc for launch on May 30.
Word comes by way of Twitter, where Wario64 posted a screenshot of a Steam listing that slated Blood and Wine for an arrival towards the end of the month. Neither CD Projekt Red or publisher Bandai Namco have confirmed or denied the alleged leak,...

CD Projekt Red plans to release The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt‘s Blood And Wine expansion before E3 in June, the studio has said in an interview with German website GameStar (translated by Reddit user Pawel95). Members of the studio discussed more details about the upcoming additional content, as well as providing some answers to questions concerning the series as a whole, chiefly if there’s any plans for a remaster of the first two games in the works. Spoilers: there isn’t.
So that’s off the table, but what about a retail re-release that compiles all three games into one box? There doesn’t seem to be any plans for that either, mainly because the first two can already be found elsewhere for incredibly cheap, making such a thing redundant. However, CD Projekt says they haven’t ruled out the possibility of there being a Goty edition of...

Today, CD Projekt Red unveiled a first look at the Blood and Wine expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with promotional art posted via their official Twitter account.
What was missing from the Tweet, however, was any news of the planned release date for the second Dlc package. When Gamespot contacted a representative at CD Projekt Red for an update on this, they were advised that “no official date had been announced.”
Sticking with what we do know about this latest expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and it looks as though Blood and Wine will be a significantly larger package than its predecessor. It has previously been said that the combined size of the two Dlc packs would actually be larger than The Witcher 2 was, and new information suggests that Blood and Wine will add twenty extra hours of content.

If a listing by Polish gaming website GRYOnline is to be believed, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt‘s upcoming Blood And Wine expansion will hit Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on June 7. As reported by GameSpot, WccfTech spotted the listing a few days ago but, as you probably guessed, developer CD Projekt Red has yet to confirm an official release date for the supposedly massive add-on.
The developer had previously slated Blood And Wine for a Q1 release, later shifting that projection back to a more vague ‘first half of the year’ window. If the June 7 date turns out to be accurate, it’ll fit with the amended release date, but we’ll just have to wait and see if the studio responds to the rumor.
Blood And Wine will be the second expansion pack to be released for The Witcher 3, and is expected to provide fans with an additional 20 hours+ of new content.

It’s official, The Witcher 3 is the best game of 2015 (read our Best Games Of 2015 for confirmation), and deservedly so. The stunning, sprawling game from CD Projekt Red is everything you could possibly want from an RPG – a fantastic story, weighty decisions for the player to make, and a vast world that continues to throw up surprises months after release.
While fans have already mused at length about the great secrets of the mysterious Continent, there are still plenty of swords and armour out there that few players have found. After months of discussions and debates in the Witcher community about what the best weapons and armour in the game are (and where to find them), we now have a pretty good idea.

Hope you missed us but it's about time for us to do this Recap thing again. Okay we've got rumors about the lead for the Dark Tower series coming to the big screen and I like the rumor. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Out Of The Shadows dropped it's trailer and it looks like a return to the turtles that we grew up on. This morning X-Men Apocalypse gave us our first new trailer since San Diego Comic Con and it looks great visually with a clear poltline as well. Who's ready for that Final Fantasy VII remake that we've heard so much about? Well it's looks like it won't be a turn based system but it looks great. And The Witcher 3 off it's Vga win gives us a taste of they're next Dlc Blood and Wine.

Buoyed by a deserved clean sweep at The Game Awards ceremony last week, developer CD Projekt Red has unveiled our first look at The Witcher III: Wild Hunt‘s upcoming – and final – Dlc pack, Blood and Wine.
Included in the RPG’s $24.99 expansion pass, next year’s add-on has been billed as a considerable step up from Hearts of Stone, encompassing around 20 hours of content for one Geralt of Rivia. Today’s reveal of the first screenshots, spotlighting the fantastical city of Toussaint, indicate that a trailer isn’t too far away, though the developer will likely hold fire until the new year as it continues to optimize the experience following the release of Hearts of Stone.

Decorated Polish developer CD Projekt Red may be prepping to launch long-in-development new IP Cyberpunk 2077 much earlier than expected, after a report claimed that the sci-fi RPG could arrive late next year.
That’s contrary to previous statements from the studio itself, explaining that fans shouldn’t expect any further update on Cyberpunk 2077 until at least 2017, with the majority of next year set aside for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt‘s conclusive expansion Blood and Wine along with additional support for the critically-adorned RPG – now the crowned Game of the Year after last week’s The Game Awards 2015 event.
One thing’s for sure: Cyberpunk is beginning to occupy the vast majority of resources at the developer, with Lead Quest Designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz championing the new IP as “very ambitious” in a recent interview with GameSpot.

Now we’ve got our hands on Hearts of Stone, we get to see just what story can be added to the game and whether it is worth paying for…
The answer is that a lot, and it takes it in surprising new paths!
With a storyline that feels very influenced on fairy tale we get to do battle with a huge toad and to help grant wishes to an immortal man (whether he likes it or not). While there are serious undertones to the story there is more of a light-hearted feel to the events taking place which are somewhat refreshing when it comes to the often too serious Geralt.

Such was the size and scope of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt that CD Projekt Red currently has no plans for a direct sequel, with CEO Marcin Iwinski stating that the RPG franchise “deserves a rest” before fast-tracking The Witcher 4.
Speaking in an interview with Game Informer, Iwinski revealed that, after a decade spent building and perfecting the lush world of The Witcher, it’s now time for a change of pace within the Polish studio, one which will shifting resources over to the long-gestating futuristic title, Cyberpunk 2077.
“Honestly speaking, we have not,” Iwinski said. “It deserves some rest. The past 10 years the team has been working on swords and castles and medieval Slavic monsters. So I think it’s time for some guns, androids, and some ammo. And a necropolis. So this is what we’ll be working on. We definitely are not annualizing a franchise or anything–it’s about the experience.

While previous add-ons have encompassed new finishing moves and alternate costumes for Wild Hunt‘s main characters – namely Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer of Vengerberg – this is arguably the most substantial of the bunch.

In tandem with the announcement, the reputable Polish dev released a statement about how the creative team painstakingly created the gargantuan fantasy world that will likely serve as Geralt’s final monster-hunting adventure.

“We literally spent tens of thousands of hours to turn all that into an adventure that will kick your ass and make you want to come for more.

One thing that is immediately clear about The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is the threequel’s gargantuan size. Taking place across a rich fantasy landscape, early reports have suggested that the realm will boast close to 200 hours of content when factoring in additional side-quests and the like. But what happens when the most passionate players burn through everything the game has to offer?
Well, CD Projekt Red has answered that question today by unveiling two appropriately “massive” expansions for Wild Hunt in the form of Hearts of Stone along with Blood and Wine. The former of which will be released in October of 2015 and center on Geralt’s journey into No Man’s Land to complete a quest given to him by the mysterious Man of Glass. That’s not the only post-launch adventure for the White Wolf, however, as Blood and Wine – slated for early 2016 – will send our grizzled...

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is already poised to be a massive RPG adventure, but that's not stopping developers CD Projekt Red from announcing two upcoming expansions that will bring 10-20 hours of new content...each. Come inside to learn more.
I'll admit that hearing details on upcoming Dlc story-expansions to a game that's not out yet (and been delayed a couple times), is a little odd. Even so, today's news is still pretty awesome for fans of the franchise and gaming in general. It's not uncommon these days for games to get some form of Dlc after release, but the best kind are those that add to the story and adventure. Even with those, you normally get about 2-4 hours of extra (albeit fun) content, but that's not the case with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's upcoming Dlc expansions.

Cinema's celebrated wild man is said to have retired, citing his inability to remember lines. With his ability to steal the show both onscreen and off, has any other actor been so adored by the public?
Most of the actors we associate with the American new wave of the late 1960s and early 70s are, in fact, no longer acting at all. Warren Beatty hasn't made a film in 12 years. Gene Hackman announced he was quitting in 2008, though it had already been four years since his last movie. Only Robert De Niro continues at anything like the speed (if not the quality) of his younger self.
So it should not be a source of consternation that news has emerged of Jack Nicholson's retirement. His recent performances in undistinguished comic doodles (The Bucket List, How Do You Know) have hinted at a slowing down, a falling off. Of course, it...

L.A. Horror Fest founding partner James Groth tipped us off to the Los Angeles premiere of Sean Stone’s found-footage flick Greystone Park, which will take place at 8pm Saturday, October 27th, at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, CA. Read on for details regarding the two-day film festival!
“It’s an honor that Sean Stone has chosen to showcase his highly anticipated feature with us,” said Grother of Greystone Park director, writer and actor Sean Stone, son of filmmaker Oliver Stone.
“This will join our list of seven independent features submitted by filmmakers all over the world, as well as four hour-long blocks of short films,” added L.A. Horror Fest founder Thomas Schroeder.
Based on true events, Greystone Park (according to the film’s synopsis) is based on true events, and "follows three aspiring filmmakers trying to document unexplainable events in an abandoned insane asylum known as Greystone Park.

There can be little doubt that Jack Nicholson is one of the greatest movie stars in the history of the medium. He's had more Oscar nominations (twelve) and wins (three) than any other actor and has been an A-list star for over forty years now, remaining a legitimate box office draw in films like "Something's Gotta Give" and "The Departed" even in his seventh decade. He's worked with everyone from Antonioni to Scorsese, and given some of the most iconic screen performances ever, from "Easy Rider" to "The Shining."
Indeed, ask a cinephile for their favorite Nicholson performance, and the same few films are likely to come up: "Easy Rider," "Five Easy Pieces," "Carnal Knowledge," "The Last Detail," "Chinatown," "The Passenger" (an amazing, nearly back-to-back six-year-run), "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest," "The Shining." But this means that some of the actor's equally strong performances never quite made it into the canon,...
