Big Brother winner Dan Gheesling continues to get trolled by Johnny Bananas of The Challenge.
Dan got voted off a recent episode of The Traitors 2, becoming the first Traitor eliminated by the players.
He didn’t go down with a fight, as Dan tried to shift the target from himself to fellow Traitor Phaedra Parks.
Dan was the 10th person eliminated from the show, following Janelle Pierzina (Big Brother), Tamra Judge (Real Housewives of Orange County), and Larsa Pippen (Real Housewives of Miami) out the door.
Having both Big Brother alums eliminated this early was surprising, meaning they won’t be there when Dr. Will Kirby (Big Brother 2 winner) appears in Scotland.
Deontay Wilder recently revealed why he quit the show. Host Alan Cumming noted that Deontay had left the castle, but he didn’t explain the reasoning.
Johnny Bananas is still bitter with Dan Gheesling

A notable showmance was featured on the Summer 2017 season of Big Brother.
Jessica Graf, a VIP concierge from Los Angeles, and Cody Nickson, a construction sales representative from Texas, hit it off quickly.
There was romance in the air that season, as three relationships developed as alliances formed within the cast.
In addition to Jessica and Cody, Elena Davis and Mark Jansen also developed a relationship in the house.
They weren’t the only ones, as Raven Walton and Matt Clines also got close. This was also the summer where Paul Abrahamian from Big Brother 18 returned.
Would any of those relationships last once the cast stepped off the stage on finale night? Only one.

Cirie Fields made a name for herself during four appearances on Survivor.
After winning the first season of The Traitors USA, Cirie took a shot at winning Big Brother. Her experience was not a fond one.
Cirie was very open about not enjoying the 100-day season of Big Brother 25. But has it also stuck with her?
Cirie acted miserable on the Big Brother live feeds as the days ticked off the calendar. She talked to herself often and noted that she wanted people to leave her alone.
In comparison, Cirie’s seasons of Survivor were 39 days. Her stint on The Traitors was even shorter, as they filmed it in a few weeks. Big Brother was a different beast altogether.
This underscores how Cirie is the perfect person to ask about the difficulties of each show.

In the 1960s, director Kinji Fukasaku created what would be the ultimate yakuza-sage for years to come with his “Battles Without Honor and Humanity”-series. While the various features of the series can be regarded as great entertainment on the one hand, they gain much more value when considered as a reflection on human greed, power and manipulation. Over the course of his career, director Takeshi Kitano has made quite a number of features, such as “Sonatine” or “Brother”, which would blend these themes with a certain poetic or philosophical approach, depending on your point of view. However, with the “Outrage”-series, he attempted to create his own version of Fukasaku's epic, albeit with a much more cynical undertone.

The spirit of Barry Jenkins’ “Moonlight” weighs heavily, both thematically and stylistically, on “Brother,” a drama about two brothers growing up in a low-income Toronto suburb that lacks the grace and eloquence of the 2016 Best Picture Oscar winner. But even if writer-director Clement Virgo, adapting David Chariandy’s 2017 novel, can’t achieve the sustained aura of ineffable melancholy he’s striving for, the film still hits some lovely notes of grace and poignance that rise above the script’s manipulative nature.
“Brother” also benefits from sterling performances by its two leads: Lamar Johnson as the reserved teenager Michael and Aaron Pierre as his hulking older brother Francis. The two live with their overworked single mother (Marsha Stephanie Blake) in a cramped apartment in the low-income Toronto suburb of Scarborough, which is populated primarily by immigrants.

The Challenge star Amber Borzotra has competed in three straight seasons, winning her first. However, she recently admitted she “needs time to reset” before returning for another season.
Amber Borzotra and Chauncey Palmer nominated themselves for elimination in ‘The Challenge 38’
Former champ Amber Borzotra hasn’t had the easiest time during her experience on The Challenge. Things didn’t get better when she returned with her boyfriend, Chauncey Palmer, for season 38’s Ride or Dies.
The two found themselves blindsided into elimination by someone Nelson Thomas, who they considered an ally, and Moriah Jadea sent her into the sand after initially agreeing to protect each other.
Sad to see you go and even Sadder to watch you leave. ? Super vets, Darrell and Veronica, give their final words after losing to Amber and Chauncey in elimination.

This review originally ran May 20, 2022, in conjunction with the film’s world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
Throughout her career, Mia Hansen-Løve has returned to a familiar milieu — the daily lives of women, drawing out a poignant beauty and humanist sense of drama in the quotidian rhythms of mothers as they go about their work, as well as their caretaking of children, parents and their own inner worlds.
There’s something fascinating, and indeed feminist, about simply watching these women, played by some of Europe’s most talented actresses, simply exist in the world, maintaining the delicate balance of day-to-day harmony despite the larger ups and downs that threaten to upend everything.
In “One Fine Morning,” Hansen-Løve’s latest, the woman in question is Sandra, played by Léa Seydoux, hair cropped into a pixie cut, clad in the jeans, sweatshirt and backpack befitting a young widowed mother caring for her daughter,...

As Toronto director Clement Virgo and the cast of “Brother” took the stage at the Princess of Wales Theatre on the night of Sept. 9 to soak in the hometown standing ovation after film’s world premiere, a delegation of Black producers from across Canada was settling in for a week of networking ops curated by the Black Screen Office (Bso).

Post-apocalyptic survival meets the anxious buddy humor of Humpday in Biosphere, a mysterious and hilarious pic that really can’t be discussed much without saying things a prospective viewer would be better off not hearing. (No spoilers here.) What can be said is that this directing debut from Mel Eslyn, collaborator with the Duplass brothers and frequent producer for the late Lynn Shelton, is a one-location two-hander in which excellent performances are matched by hand-in-glove chemistry, directed with an assured sense of comic timing and storytelling economy. Sure to make some viewers very uncomfortable, it uses its more out-there elements to cheerfully highlight (maybe unintentionally) the absurdity of hope for humanity in our current, pre-apocalyptic reality.

TIFF: ‘Riceboy Sleeps’ Director Talks Minimal, Single Camera Coverage: “That Was The Scariest Thing”

Hollywood directors routinely capture on a movie set extra camera footage and angles, or “coverage,” to later give them options in the edit suite.
Not Anthony Shim, director of Riceboy Sleeps. He avoided shooting coverage when his single camera rolled on the set for his Korean and English language immigrant drama having its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival.

In the hands of a master director, such as Martin Scorsese and his opening Copa shot in Goodfellas, minimal camera coverage could be the making of cinematic legend. But for a second feature director like Shim,...

The Toronto Film Festival has programmed one of its strongest Canadian feature slates in recent years — films with head-turning performances, eye-catching artistry, and global market and audience appeal, from filmmakers who are subverting stereotypes, challenging or bypassing power structures, or transforming the industry ecosystem from the grassroots on up.
“Right now in our industry, tons of high-paying service work lets people pay their bills, but the quality work is coming through the Canadian independents,” says Conquering Lions Pictures’ Damon D’Oliveira, who has produced the Canadian work of director Clement Virgo, from his 1995 Cannes-premiering feature “Rude” to the series “The Book of Negroes” to their latest, “Brother.”

At a time when Canadian film is under fire for its lack of diversity, Clement Virgo has always been a step ahead.
Having arrived in Canada from his native Jamaica at age 11, Virgo in 1995 screened his feature directorial debut, Rude, about three characters struggling for inner city redemption in 1990s Toronto, at Cannes and the Toronto Film Festival.
Now, 27 years later, Virgo is back at TIFF with Brother, a mystery drama with three intertwining timelines about Francis and Michael, sons of Caribbean immigrants who grow up on an embattled Toronto housing complex during a summer of police violence and dashed dreams in 1991.
Based on David Chariandy’s novel Brother, Virgo explores themes of Black masculinity, family, loyalty and love through the eyes of two brothers: Michael, played by Lamar Johnson, and U.K. actor Aaron Pierre in the role of older brother and protector Francis.

Hey, fellow, "Big Brother" fans. Happy Friday and weekend. We are back in your faces with another very important Big Brother season 24 update. The latest Hoh (Head Of Household) competition was played in the very early morning hours of today, September 9, 2022 and the results are now in. As we previously reported, Terrance and Michael were evicted during last night's Live, Double Eviction episode and sent off to the jury house. That left only 5 remaining houseguests to play in this latest Hoh comp. Actually, it was just 4 houseguests that could play in it because Turner was the outgoing Hoh and could not play. According to the folks over at Big Brother Network, this latest Hoh comp was the Black Box comp, which required the houseguests to crawl around in the dark. It was a Horror Fest themed competition.

It was an unceremonious exit for Terrance Higgins when he became the first houseguest sent packing on Thursday night’s live double eviction episode of “Big Brother.” The 47-year old bus operator from Chicago stormed out of the house after being unanimously evicted by a vote of 4-0 over Alyssa Snider. The Head of Household responsible for his dismissal was Michael Bruner.
“That was an homage to Daniel [Durston],” Terrance told host Julie Chen Moonves during his exit interview when asked about his quick exit. Daniel memorably (or not?) left in an uproar without saying goodbye way back on Day 37. But Terrance admits he was upset as well. “That definitely did play a role,” he explained. “You had the [opportunity] to do something that you just didn’t do. You knew that Alyssa’s votes, to me, look stacked in jury right now. And you have more of a fight to get Michael out of the house.

Between the Eviction Night blindsides, Kyle’s dramatic downfall and the mystery of who stole Jasmine’s muffin, Big Brother 24 has been plenty chaotic already — but there’s nothing quite like the chaos of a live double eviction episode, which the show delivered on Thursday night.
We already got a double eviction of sorts two weeks ago, when Dyre Fest and Brochella each sent a houseguest to jury. But Thursday’s two-hour installment was more like the classic double evictions to which we’re accustomed, in which a full week of Big Brother is played in one night. It was an eventful evening,...

A Big Brother 24 Double Eviction is coming up, and it will force some of the remaining houseguests to scramble.
The current season already included a night where two evictions took place, as Jasmine Davis and Joseph Abdin got evicted during the Split House twist on the same night, but that isn’t typically how a Double Eviction episode works.
A few photos and videos from the BB24 jury house have come out, giving a glimpse into what life has been like for the recently evicted houseguests.
On Thursday, September 8, CBS is giving the Big Brother producers two hours to present some good drama for the viewers at home.

After three features which focused on Japanese media, society and the cult surrounding his own persona, director Takeshi Kitano decided to return to the yakuza-genre with “Outrage”, which was the start of a trilogy of movies about the inner turmoil of a criminal syndicate. Given the commercial failure of works such as “Takeshis’” and “Achilles and the Tortoise”, this decision was perhaps also fueled by the idea of winning back the kind of audience that got to know the filmmaker through “Sonatine”, “Brother” or “Hana-Bi”. While this premise does not actually sound like “Outrage” might be Kitano’s passion project, the movie itself, along with its successors, is easily one of the best works of the director and, at the very least, another look at the connections of organized crime and society.

The houseguests of Big Brother 24 have orchestrated their share of Eviction Night blindsides all summer. But even before Thursday’s live episode began, the identity of this week’s evicted player seemed as foregone a conclusion as Alyssa bombing a geography test.
After Michael and Brittany alerted their fellow houseguests to Kyle’s troubling comments about this season’s Bipoc players — for a full overview of the controversy, head on over to my recap of Wednesday’s episode — it’s been hard to envision a scenario where Kyle wouldn’t hit the block as a replacement nominee for either Brittany or Taylor.

A new Big Brother 24 Head of Household has taken charge of the final eight houseguests.
Earlier in the night, Jasmine Davis and Joseph Abdin fell in the Double Eviction episode.
Michael Bruner and Terrance Higgins were the outgoing HOHs, and they had to watch Brittany Hoopes, Taylor Hale, Kyle Capener, Alyssa Snider, Matt Turner, and Monte Taylor play in the new Head of Household Competition.
Alyssa knew that she was on the outside of everything during the challenge. If she or Kyle didn’t win Hoh and gain some automatic safety, it meant that one or both of them could wind up on the block very soon.
The results of the Week 8 Hoh Competition could also dictate whether or not The Leftovers would survive as an alliance. Something different could very easily be on the horizon.

The Big Brother Double Eviction brought a lot of excitement. Julie Chen Moonves and an in-studio audience ushered two people to the BB24 jury house.
The show’s latest installment was Big Brother 24, Episode 22, and it was a one-hour presentation that took the cast down to just eight surviving members.
One of the takeaways that some fans might have is that Jasmine Davis was playing up a fake limp to gain sympathy (again).
This is one of the reasons that several Big Brother fans have turned on Jasmine this summer and have become frustrated with how she was playing the game.
Recently, the term “JasMean” was even trending on social media, along with a lot of complaints from viewers about how Jasmine was playing up her “birthday month” to get special treatment.

Because of the Split House Twist, two separate evictions played out on “Big Brother 24” this week: one indoors and one outdoors. The Big Brochella Head of Household, Michael Bruner, had his sights set on taking out Jasmine Davis, while the Dyre Fest Hoh, Terrance Higgins, wanted to oust Joseph Abdin. But with so few people in each group, was anyone able to flip the script? And which two houseguests ended up speaking with Julie Chen Moonves at the end of the evening?

As expected, the official cast list for Amazing Race 34 includes a Big Brother showmance that seems geared toward doing well on the reality competition show.

After the elimination of Indiana “Indy” Santos, only 10 players remained in the “Big Brother 24” house. And host Julie Chen Moonves decided now was the time to divide them into two groups of five in the show’s first ever Split House Twist. That’s right — this week there would be two Heads of Household, two sets of nominees, two Veto competitions/meetings and two evictions. And the entire time, the groups would be separated and playing their games simultaneously. Fun! So how’d it all play out on Sunday night?

Daniel Durston finished in 12th place in the Big Brother 2022 season. Pic credit: Sonja Flemming/CBS
Big Brother 24 cast member Daniel Durston has returned to social media following his eviction from the game.
Daniel was the first Head of Household from the Summer 2022 season, putting him in a power position very early in the game. But he finished in 12th place and got sent home as the final houseguest who didn’t make it to the jury stage.
As the game has been rolling on with Taylor Hale as the newest Hoh, Daniel has returned to social media and begun getting back to his real life. Daniel took the time to apologize for his time on the show for his first post.
This seems like a good step after Daniel got caught pushing some lies about Taylor once he was out of the house, even though he wrote it up as acting on bad information.

After winning “Big Brother’s” classic wall Head of Household competition, Taylor Hale had her sights set on taking out someone she didn’t really gel with: Terrance Higgins. Taylor nominated Terrance for eviction this week alongside Indiana “Indy” Santos, but then she told the entire house she had a much bigger target in mind, alluding to Monte Taylor. Did the Veto save Terrance or Indy from the block on Wednesday night? And if so, did Taylor really try to backdoor Monte?

It was another contentious week in the “Big Brother” house as the Season 24 contestants dealt with the aftermath of last week’s surprise back door eviction, and it doesn’t appear that the power shots are slowing down any time soon.
Another major threat was sent home Thursday when the house guests eliminated Nicole Layog. It marked the second week in a row that The Leftovers alliance made a big move to take them all one step closer to the finale.
After sending Ameerah Jones packing last week, the alliance — which includes Monte Taylor, Kyle Capener, Taylor Hale, Michael Bruner, Brittany Hoopes, Matthew Turner, and Joseph Abdin — struggled to decide on a course of action. When Taylor won the Head of Household competition, he decided it best to put festie besties Alyssa Snider and Indy Santos on the block.

Last week on The Challenge: USA, we had the first major blindside when a duo of Big Brother players took a shot at one of their own. On Wednesday’s episode, it was the former Survivor castaways’ turn to get dirty.

Heading into the Veto episode of “Big Brother 24,” Head of Household Monte Taylor had just nominated Alyssa Snider and Indiana “Indy” Santos for eviction. However, he promised them publicly that they weren’t his true targets. In reality, he wanted to get Nicole Layog out of the house, but since she was “Festie Besties” with Taylor Hale, who had already been on the block multiple times this season, he wanted to get Taylor’s blessing in order to put them up if the Power of Veto ended up being used.
