Plot Summary

Smart-aleck lawyer gets a visit one day from an ex-girlfriend who tells him that her son is his. Enter writer Dale Putley, a depressed goofball who meets with the same ex-girlfriend who tells him her son is his. One day Jack and Dale meet and discover that they've been told the same story by the same woman. Which one of them is her son's actual father? And where is that son? He is following around a rock band called Sugar Ray, so Jack and Dale hit the road to Sacrament and find "their" son--drunk and lovestruck. They take him to their hotel room, but he escapes and they must team up to find him again, get him home, and find out which of them is his father. Written by Dylan Self

Did You Know?

Edit
Trivia The concert was filmed at a park in Los Angeles. The scene took three days to film, and involved playing the same song over and over for all three days. To show the energy of the crowd, the extras had to cheer and "rock" to the music. On the first day everyone was up, yelling, jumping and punching their fists in the air, but by day three, most were too tired to even lift their arms, and many just remained seated. See more »

Quotes Jack Lawrence: You're a tragic hero. You're Lou Gehrig.
Dale Putley: Who?
Jack Lawrence: Lou Gehrig. Everybody knows Lou Gehrig. The baseball player. He died of Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Dale Putley: Wow, what are the odds on that?
